18-8-2008 - Docs are stupid

My mood while writing this blog: upset

So I haven't been on for a while because my hubby was on vacation for a week and we were having a blast! Then we get a phone call on Tuesday saying the Health Department was trying to get a hold of us because they wanted to do a retest on Ragan's PKU. At first I was like well that's a little weird considering the test was done like 7 weeks ago. Then I went and looked up what PKU was again (been a long time so I forgot) and I was like OMG and started freaking out. I was trying to get a hold of everyone but no one was calling me back! After 2 hrs of freaking out thinking my daughter could be developing brain damage as we speak my family doctor called back and actually read the report to me. Turns out they just didn't like the sample that was taken and said it wasn't saturated enough! We didn't they say that on the answering machine??!! And to make matters worse they were trying to get ahold of us through the doctor that saw her in the hospital thinking that was her NORMAL doctor! Whatmakes me the most mad is that the hospital she was born at knew who her real doctor was and they just didn't bother to look and the next really frustrating thing was that the doc who saw her in the hospital didn't want to be bothered enough to call them and say hey she isnt my patient! UGGGHHHH so she goes for her repeat test tomorrow morning so please say a prayer it turns out ok!!!

I could see my mil doctors not caring, they get paid a base rate no matter what, but civ docs should try and give a rats a$$! It's what they get paid to do!

uhhhh i am so sorry! reading this post i was stressin! what is wrong with dr.'s??? they act sometimes like its a bother for them ??? i call my dr. and they get right back to me but its like ...ya what do ya want...kinda response and i'm like OMG are you serious???? i don't get why they are so ABOVE everybody ya know?? they think they are, i mean ya they know more then us with those situations but COME ON then make it easier for us to deal with these steps in our babies lives ya know??? geez!!

i will keep her in thought and prayer for a positive outcome!! keep in touch, wish you all well....
