23-7-2008 - Birth Story

Miro Ameche Wecker was born June 22nd, 2008 1:04pm.

After 5 hrs of labour and no epidural Miro was born 10 lbs 2.4 ozs. The labour was tolerable for the 1st 4hrs, the last hr I was screaming for the epidural but alas the Dr. was in the OR and I would have to wait an hr....welll he arrived within 30 mins of that time....boy oh boy was that an experience....I pushed 4 times and felt everything....I mean EVERYTHING....

At the end of it all I was happy I experienced my last birth without the epidural and Miro was born healthy. I recovered very fast...got up 5 mins later by myself to use the bathroom.....

I won't say I recommend giving birth without the epidural but ladies if you can it really is quite the experience.

I have updated some photos of the birth and what he looks like now...

HE IS WONDERFUL.

Congrats hun, I just had my baby girl and the labour went so fast I couldnt have the epi either. HOwever I ended up in the OR anyway cause she was breech, funny since I had already started pushing and then they figured it out. It was painful, but I'm so glad to hear everything went ok with you. I"m doing great too, and my baby girl is so wonderful. Congrats again, it is an amazing thing to go through. Good luck to you
