27-10-2009 - Feeling Reassured

My mood while writing this blog: happy

Just got back from my 3rd prenatal appt. I have gained a total of 13 lbs already but am trying not to worry about it. If I have to turn away from the scale next time, so be it!! Nobody seems to be concerned with my weight except for me and I'm just going to keep eating right and exercising.

Today, thankfully, the baby was cooperative and there was no problem finding the heartbeat. It sounded great and was in the 150's... (they don't give me the exact number). The height of my uterus is where it should be for 17-18 weeks and my blood pressure was 120/80 which is actually higher than I usually run. The doc said everything was good and my next appt. is Wed. Nov. 25th the day after my 39th birthday!!! I will finally get my second ultrasound and get to find out if this new little person is a boy or girl. Very exciting...

My sweet stepdad took me to lunch today and also shopping for a few clothes. This was totally sweet and very unexpected. My mother is out of town visiting my brother and he has been quite attentive an fun ( I know he doesn't know what to do with himself without mom). Anyway, I am thrilled and feeling relieved to know that the baby is doing well and I am allowing myself to bond more and more each day without so much fear.

I'm happy and satisfied with this last visit.
