O.K., so I really should be doing other things that are much more productive such as cleaning, sleeping, paying bills etc. but I haven't been in that kind of mood lately... (really not even before I was pregnant except the sleeping part = ) ) Anyway, since gender is/has been on my mind from the moment that I discovered that I was pregnant this time and since everyone you meet asks the same question " Is it a boy or a girl ? " I have indulged myself this time around with every gender prediction quiz, game, etc. that I can find. When I don't like the results I say it's just for fun. Most of the time the old wives tales are 50/50 with me. Half say girl the other half say boy. I haven't done the Draino test as I've heard that it can be toxic.. I haven't had any definate dreams about having this baby so I don't have that to go on. Plus some old wives tale says if you dream of boys it's a girl and vice versa... Some people swear by their dreams of what they are having. The only 2 dreams, I have had, 1. someone GAVE ME A BABY (which was a boy) but it wasn't mine. 2. The other dream I had was pretty early on and the baby at about 11 weeks actually came out of me ( like the kangaroos do) and made it's way onto my abdomen ( Oh yea, I was sitting in my husband's restaurant, it wasn't like i was in labor or giving birth) anyway I lifted up its tiny little leg moved the cord and it was a girl... So who knows. Very strange i know.

So just to let you know if you don't already... I have 2 incredible daughters. Blakely is 12 and will be 13 in May and Mia is 9 and will be 10 in March. I know that girls are wonderful and I would be thrilled with another, no problems there. Since there is such an age difference between my first 2 and this one I have always felt that this baby is a boy. I think it would be neat to experience raising the other gender too. This pregnancy is very different from both of my previous pregnancies but it could be due to my age, the fact that I don't have to work outside of the home or have a toddler around while pregnant. I don't know but I had very little morning sickness with this pregnancy. 2 weeks of totally yuck and bam it was gone. With my girls I seemed to be nauseous (sp) for the entire first trimester. Now this time I had more aversions to what I could eat or even drink which didn't seem to happen with my girls. I am normally someone who hasn't met a sweet that she doesn't like, I have no desire for sugar this pregnancy... In the beginning (after m/s) I wanted veggies and hamburgers, thin crust pizza and ice water, milk and o.j. Then I got an intense craving for dill pickles like I had to have them and lots of them. I never had actual cravings with the girls. Now I still like hamburgers and thin crust pizza but I feel the need and I want STEAK a lot. I don't indulge myself with red meat but I do want it all the time. O.k so all of this has led me to think I am carrying a fetus of the male persuasion. My hubby thinks it is a girl b/c that is what he has always wanted;.. to be surrounded by girls...

Intelligender: took the test on his 43rd birthday, Oct. 30th. To me the results looked Boy!!! I posted one picture on my photos and the only comment i got was that it looked gold and not dark green so that is supposed to indicate girl, but that was just one opinion and just one picture. My family all thought the results looked dark green instead of gold, so I will say based on the intelligender that the prediction is BOY.

Today i took the gender prediction on FortuneBaby.com ( you know the one that seems to be on our chat sites on week to week all the time...) It also said Boy and it is based on your birthday, the fathers birthday and either your LMP, Conception date or the due date. Now I may or may not have cheated a little here, you be the judge of that. My first u/s was done between 8 and 9 weeks. Before I even had my first prenatal visit all the due date calculators gave me the EDD of Apr. 1, 2010. When I went to the doc he gave me the EDD of March 31, 2010. When I had my scan, based on the baby's measurements, it gave me the EDD of Apr. 6, 2010. My doctor said since his and the scan were less than 1 week off ( 6 days to be exact ) that he wasn't going to change my due date, so anyway I used the due date of the scan for this particular gender prediction test as I figure that baby knows best. Well low and behold this gender predictor also says BOY!!! Now I haven't bought one single item for this baby yet and I am not scheduled for my ultrasound until November 25 so I won't tell everyone that we are having a boy until we know that it has all the necessary parts... lol

I just thought I would share because I know that a lot of you moms or future moms out there can relate to my obsession, even though I still maintain that I really don't mind either gender I am just obsessed with knowing!!!! We will see, if the baby cooperates on Nov. 25 at 3:30 pm. I will turn 39 on Nov. 24th at 2:46 pm so in a way the scan is my birthday present. I am really trying not to think of all the things that the doc is actually checking for I know it isn't just to cure my obsession. Wishing for a healthy baby of either gender!!!!
