13-11-2008 - Painless Contractions??!!

Hey you sexy pregnant ladies!

Went in for my NST yesterday and everything went great! Then the nurse looked at the contraction part of the test and said....Uhhhh your contractions are one on top of the other....every 3-4 minutes. I was like really??!! She asked if I felt them. I told her that some are stronger than others but for the most part they feel like BH. You know girls...where you belly gets rock hard! Then I got this huge talking to about if they get any worse I have to get into the hospital right away, because I am a scheduled section. I told her not a problem and went on my way.

This morning about 20 minutes ago, I receive a call from Labour & Delivery. She tells me that my Obstetrician had a chance to look at my results sheet and believes I am in early labour! I laughed, because I am just not experiencing any pain and to me the BH are irregular! Again I was told to keep a close eye on them and to get into the hospital a.s.a.p. . With my daughters I knew I was in labour because my water broke. My first daughter I lost my plug at 2pm, and water broke at 6pm. I didn't start feeling any contractions with her until about midnight, got the epidural at 3cm. My second girl, water broke at 1am and got contractions right away! I went completely natural with her...don't get me wrong the pain was INTENSE..but not nearly as crazy with my first baby. Both deliveries ended up casareans. Being pregnant with my first son this time...I've been left guessing!!!

Either way, my beautiful son will be here in 15 days. Wow. God, I can't wait to meet him!!!

I'll keep everyone posted should it go down before my scheduled section. Take it easy Mommies, God bless, & Labour Dust to all!!!!!

I went for nst testing yesterday and I too was having contraction the nurse asked if i was feeling them and my back just was hurting a little which i thought came from sitting in that chair for too long. They tried to send me up to labor and delivery and i was like no.This is my sixth child and I knew i was not in labor but I got he same speech. I am a schedule section also and as much as i would like for it all to be over with early I can wait for a while I want to go in the hospital and come out with my daughter and not by myself . I know they are trying to make sure me and the baby are fine but I hate hospitals. WIshing you well and keep me posted

painless contractions wow, I've not had any BH yet so still don't know what I'm looking for, think its going to hit me like a ton of bricks when it happens, hope things go smoothly for you. xx Good luck x

Hey, I had two 100% natural births with my daughters....two days before due date for both of them. Painful, but great!! With my son I went into preterm labor at 31 weeks, was hospitalized for 6 weeks throughout which I had some labor contractions (which is why I dilated to 4cm) but mostly 'painless' contractions very frequently too (sometimes as close as every 1-2 min!!). Be aware ;-) Once you start feeling more pain go to L&D....Good luck!!!

WOW - THINGS ARE MOVING FAST FOR YOU. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL IT IS MY TIME TO START EXPERIENCING THESE THINGS. BEING A NEW MOTHER, IM JUST NOT SURE WHAT TO EXPECT AND STUFF. HAVE A GOOD ONE AND KEEP US POSTED!!!

Wow! Good Luck mama and keep us posted! When I went in for my schduled C-section and they had me hooked up to the machine I was having contractions too, but little ones and the nurse asked me if I knew I was having them and I was like I just thought he was moving around! Well I can't wait to hear your Birth Story!
