18-12-2008 - 1 Month Old Today!

My mood while writing this blog: Anxious

Amen! LO is now 1 month old!!! L'il Rob laughs, smiles and holds his head up constantly. Little booger still won't sleep in his crib. In time I guess..... He has finally started sleeping longer throughout the night. Which means I can finally catch some more sleep. Had to give up breastfeeding because he just was not getting enough. I am disappointed but pleased that he is getting what he needs. This boy would drain both boobs and still want a four ounce bottle...yikes!!! I have him on Enfamil Gentlease. For those who are bottle feeding what formula are you using and why??.................

Each month that goes by I know that it gets easier and easier. I am trying to enjoy each moment because this is my first boy and my last child. To see the way my daughters embrace and interact with him is priceless. I am so glad that I decided to have 3 children!! The memories already made and those to come...can't wait:-)

As for me, I'm healing very nicely from the section. Lower abdomen is still numb..but that is expected. Towards the end of my pregnancy I developed severe edema causing me to gain a whopping 70lbs in the end. Holy crap! But thanks to breastfeeding, I have already lost 40lbs!!!! YAY! I'm frustrated right now because Doctor says to hold off on the intense cardio for 2 more weeks. I can't wait....desperate to get back into my old clothes again. Anyone that gained a lot of weight that wants to keep in touch to push each other towards their goal---feel free to give me a shout!!

I hope this finds all of my new mommies well and somewhat rested! To all of those who are still pregnant, hang in there--soon you'll be holding your LO's and making your own memories!!
