| 10-8-2008 - irked | My mood while writing this blog:annoyed |
ok, there are a few things on this site that do truly irk me to death.
Starting with..... before making a claim please do your reasearch, and do it properly, dont take what you read in a forum as fact, just got thru argueing over this exact matter and not too long ago saw a girl claim breastfed babies are smarter, had she researched she would have found this to be untrue, in fact the mothers IQ is what decides how smart baby is, earlier it was over chemicals on new baby clothes, all the sites that were given as proof had disclaimers stating it was opinion!!!!!!! when will ppl learn to read?? I am not against breast feeding or prewashing, but I know my facts about both, and I make my decisions based on facts, not every little thing I read. There are thousands of examples of not believing everything you read. I would never put up a link for a site with disclaimers like that, cause some ppl are gullible, sad but true, and new moms worry about enough without worrying about things that arent true
ok next, women who are going thru thier first PG or TTC and giving advice on raising children, where does this make sense? Child raising is 50% instinct 45% trial and error(experience) and 5% comes from advice, books or other sources. It ticks me off severely when a person who has no children yet has the gaw to tell me Im doing it wrong, why? because her book says so. There have been thousands of baby books published over the years, and many went thru a phase where they were looked upon almost like bibles, but then 10 years later everything in those books is wrong, dead wrong, books used to say to put babies to sleep on thier tummies, now thats a huge no no, so did it ever occur to anyone that if all the books in the past were later found to be wrong, why wouldnt the same apply to books currently in circulation? Of course common sense would be too easy for it to be right.
sorry I just had to rant, stupidity bothers me greatly
