| 12-8-2009 - 5 hours to go | My mood while writing this blog:excited |
Yep, count them down, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. I am off to the private clinic today to have my 4D ultrasound. I am really hoping that they can see the gender clearly. After having 3 girls already, a boy would be a nice change of pace, although I have more than a sneaking suspicion its another girl. My eldest made a good point that the name "Willow" will be wasted if its a boy.
We have never thought about "re-using" the intended boys name for each of our girls. Each baby had its own girl name and own boy name, as if somehow it would detract from the baby's originality if it had a "second-hand name" previously considered for an elder sibling.
"Willow" has been the pet name for this baby for such a long time, because we dont know the gender, I think if it does turn out to be a little "Zachary" after all, there will be excitement but also some sadness to let the name "Willow" go. I am not so keen on William as a boys name, as to me that belongs to my Dad's generation.
With my last three girls their face shots were almost identical, like 3 peas in a pod. I am hoping that we can get a nice clear face shot today aswell. The placenta had better co-operate and stay out of shot!
Wish me luck!
