| 16-9-2009 - Measurements at 29 weeks +1 - I am loosing inches!!!! | My mood while writing this blog:very hot and bothered |
I thought it would be a nice idea to keep a record of my measurements every fortnight throughout the pregnancy. I had to use tape measure this morning, so I thought I would get tomorrow measurement done a day early.
My starting measurements were:
BB's 44"
Waist 36"
Hips 43"
Mid July they were:
BB's 47"
Waist 48"
Hips 43"
3rd August they were:
BB's 46" (-1")
Waist 51" (+3")
Hips 43" ( no change)
3rd September they were:
BB's 46" (no change since last month)
Waist 51" (no change since last month)
Hips 48" (+5" since last month)
Weight gain on starting weight +7lb.
Today 16th September they are:
BB's 45 1/2" (-1/2" since last fortnight)
Waist 48" (-3" since last fortnight)
Hips 44" (-4" since last fortnight)
Weight gain on starting weight +8lb (+1lb since last fortnight).
I am sooooo shocked, its like I have turned my measurements back by two months, although I am doing a fraction of the physical activity. For those that have been following this topsy turvy pregnancy of mine, you may recall I was given a belly brace and crutches for my Symphis Pubic Dysfunction two weeks ago. Well this is certainly an unexpected side effect.
All measurements were taken on waking so the brace hadnt been worn since last night, so there was no help "sucking in" at the time of the measurements. But the two together have certainly taken some of the strain off and helped to realign my centre of gravity...the tape measure doesnt lie! Its a good job though, cos the belly brace is the largest size the physio department has so it might just last me to the end with a bit of luck.
I don't know for sure how my ketones are at the moment, but I go to see the midwife next week and am prepared to be told off again. I suspect the ketones are quite high cos I barely digested any of the food I have eaten for the last few days, so some of the inch lost might be my body helping out when Zach isnt giving me a break!
Maybe I should get DH to take a belly picture to mark the occassion!
