Okay to make a longer story short....I'm pissed. I watch kids in the afternoon until their parents get home. I'm just starting out so I only have a few kids at the moment. One of the mothers decided to take it upon herself to shorten my pay because of a school holiday and her schedule changing. Now I'm not charging her a whole lot of money $65 dollars a week is a steal around here. So come Friday she text messages me minutes to 3 to tell me that she was working late...In addition to that lil announcement she tells me that her son's father had my money and would be coming to get him. Now...the father comes and he hands me $40 dollars. LADIES I was about to go offm but I know he does not have anything to do with it. It is her! She sent him to do her dirty work. She was not working late she was at the NAIL SALON. HOW IN THE HELL do you first stiff me of $25 dollars without discussing it with me and then LIE ???? It gets better. Yesterday was a Holiday so there was no school. Today when I go to pick him up he tells me he thinks that his mother is going to get him. I have to text her to see if this is true. Why would you not communicate that to me the night before at least. I don't know who is watching him tomorrow, but it is not me. I'M DONE!

Girl child care is very hard to find! You betta let her know.. and the for the price she was paying, she betterbe careful. you cant trust anyone nowadays anyway. Sounds like she is truly taking you for granted, she should be happy her baby is in good hands!

I would drop that family for sure... She must have needed the $25 for her nails...LOL... That's nuts! I would make her sign a contract... Add that every minute late eguals $10 more... That way they will be there on time. Good luck!

I don't blame you!!
She was wrong and she doesn't realize not many people will watch a child for that price. Well, I bet she'll remember when she has no one tow atch her son!!

THAT IS SOOOOO WRONG; and you need to nip that crap in the butt NOW or she will continue to take advantage.....One of my daughters friend father takes her to and from school, yesterday was a holiday but I still gave him the same amount that I am accustomed to paying him weekly...also my daughter has started to travel home with some friends on Friday's because she gets out of school at 1:45....I still give him the same amount.....THAT'S DEAD WRONG.....I will pray for you......

She's wrong and she knows. That's why she is avoiding you. Firstly, she could have CALLED instead of texting (what if the message didn't go through for some reason?) Secondly, she shouldn't have shorted on the moola. $65 a week is $13 a day. She could have at least given you $52 cuz he missed a day. I mean, seriously. You don't burn bridges and she looks to be well on the way to doing just that! Why lie about what you have to do? What woman/mother wouldn't understand needing a little time for themselves? Just be honest, especially when you are caring for HER child.
