05-8-2009 - Trying a new job

My mood while writing this blog:
pretty good

So im going to try a new job... we just moved to a new city... and i have my CNA license... but i feel like a little change... its so depressing working around death all the time that i need a change of pace... so ive been thinking about trying to babysit... try and get only 2 kids to start out with... so ill have them and my little one (about 6 months) ive looked at the daycare here and they charge about $160-200 per kid... so i was thinking about charging $125 per kid...(so making about $1200 a month) id make breakfest, lunch, snacks... have crafts to do everyday (depending on age) go for walks... and there is a park 1 block away that we could walk to when the weather is nice... i have a big back yard to play in also...

i was looking at putting up adds at all of the local schools here (about 6-7 schools with all the elementry schools, middle and high school) that way i would also have the summers off... my husband is a teacher also... so as a family we could have the summers off together... but if they needed me in the summer during somedays i would do that also... but if i cant find teachers... im open to help anyone... it would basically be a win win situation for us... id get to stay home with my own little girl... (saving us up to $800 a month) and spending time with addy... as well as her being able to grow and learn with other children... i dont want her to not grow around other kids... we just moved here... and i dont know anyother moms here with kids addys age...

so im im really hoping for this to work... im making up some flyers tonight... and hopfully posting them tomorrow...

Babysitting what a good idea. I think if I had to pay for daycare I would do the same thing. I mean how great would it be to make money and be able to be with your baby! Let me know how it works out!

ahh thats neat idea, just like the other woman said just check out the laws of what u gotta do. I have always wanted to do this as well. Why dont u look into daycare and see if u and addy can go there as u work too so she can play and meet other babies. i have also wanted to change my job too i am soo sick of the restaurant business lol my family owns it. I;ve been working since i was seriously 10 yrs old. anyway i love to help ppl and i love kids. i was a soccer coach for 6 yrs too. i might get back into that as well. have u thought of going back to college and take some courses if u can? and even online too. sorry i'm writing u a lot. i hope the best for u and good luck!
