| 27-2-2009 - Crib to toddler bed |  My mood while writing this blog:ok |
First lemme say I hope everyones pregnancy is going well, but I am writing more so asking a question because I am a tad confused. I am pregnant with my first child and I am almost into my 15th week. I understand it is probablly a little early to shop for cribs but when I am at work and have down time I like to just "window shop". Well, I have fallen in love with a crib that converts into a toddler bed. Yet, I am slightly confused because I don't actually know when you go from crib to toddler bed and for how long do they stay in a toddler bed? I have heard many answers to this question and just thought I'd get a little more feed back before deciding what to do. My opinion is to convert to a toddler bed when the child is about 2 yrs old and possibly stay in that bed til they are about 6 and then move on to a twin bed or a full size bed. Well thanks ahead of time for all of the advice I hope to get and have a happy pregnancy.

My cribs that I got went from a crib with the different positions like high for newborn and low for about 5 months and more, after it can convert to a toddler bed by taking off on of the sides, but it still uses the crib mattress. I personaly think it is a good adjustment from going from the crib that they are used to then put them in the toddler bed, but I think it is too small I would change then out of the toddler bed at about 4 years. My son is very tall and didn't have much room in a toddler bed, and he is now in a single bed! Good luck to you hope you find what you are looking for!
