Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned, but my mom always told me it's not good for me or my baby to be out unless it's a dr.'s appt until 6 weeks after delivery to avoid a "set back". Use your judgement though. I wouldn't recomment it, but check with your dr. 1st.

My doctors never advised against taking the child out. We went straight from the hospital to Sam's club the day I was discharged after having Nicholas. The baby has your immunity right now so it is very unlikely that he will get sick. I would not hesitate to take my child to church!

My drs always told me not to be out and about the first 2 weeks, unless its a drs visit, but that was it after the two weeks it would be okay, but limit the time as much as possible in the beginning, so I dont think it would be too bad, you are making sure they are using the sanitizer and as long as no one with a cold of some sort is holding him, i think you two should be okay

hey ladies! I hope all is well. Congrats to all those who have delivered and those who are perggo. Now that the introductions are done.....lol! As you all know I just had my son Michael aug 16th and he will be 3 weeks this sunday. I want to go to church but don't know if it is too soon to take my son out. I mean he has been out but only to my grandma's house and to the doctor. When anyone picks him up I make them use hand sanitizer so I'm not nervous about that. I guess I don't want him to get sick. So is it too soon to take my son to church even if he will be with me and me only?
