My mood while writing this blog: excited/little jealous lol |
So, my 'little' cousin (she's 20 lol) is pregnant and due twelve days before me on July 12 (which is my b-day haha). I just got off the phone with her. She told me she thinks her water may be leaking. Now, it's not gushing or anything just when she moves or gets up it leaks...and it's been doing this for two hours and her underwear are soaked (sorry tmi =]) but...I told her I'd go to L&D just to get them to check in case. She'll be 35 weeks pregnant on Sunday. What do you ladies think?? She's having a little girl too. She'll be texting me as soon as she finds out what's going on I just wanted to see what you thought?? I'll update when I find out what's going on!! Thanks ~Lauren~
Edit: I just talked to her again and she's spotting now...so she's def. going to the hospital to get checked out!!

Monday, 8 Jun well i leaked for two days and the doc didnt do anything until wednesday for my daughter. but i would go if i were her just to make sure there is no infection or anything that is causing her waters to leak chocolate mami -

Sunday, 7 Jun yea.....she needs to go to L&D! Same thing happened with me my 1st pregnancy....I had a slow leak and my fluid levels kept dropping. I was 38 weeks then, but depending on how much water she lost the just might induce her...or they might try to get the levels back up and discharge her. Either way, very exciting!!!! missyv28 (pink) -
Saturday, 6 Jun Yes she needs to go! Tell her good luck! and I'm with you on the little jealous part lol CosmoMajor -
Saturday, 6 Jun she should definitely go to the hospital. I went to the hospital last week for the same thing, although my water wasn't broken, thank goodness. 3girlsunderage2 -
Saturday, 6 Jun make her ass get to the hosp. even if it turns out to be bladder leakage, she should go. thosde l & d nurses have seen it all. tell her that she won't be the first one to go in just to make sure all is well. that's what they're there for. It's best not to jeopardize the pregnancy cause she's still a lil early to deliver. AlisaB99 -
Saturday, 6 Jun She really needs to at least call the doctor. I don't think it's good for the fluid to get too low. It's really better to be safe than sorry when it comes to the baby. Diegirl -
Saturday, 6 Jun I agree.... she should definitely go to L&D and get checked. Sometimes the baby's head works like a plug and stops the leaking of fluid for a bit and as soon as you move or get up it leaks some more. When I had my daughter that's what happened to me. Either that or she has lost control of her bladder. Doesn't hurt to make sure though as infection can set in with broken water and no treatment.
