12-6-2009 - 34 week check up & Ultrasound =]

My mood while writing this blog: Excited

So, I had my 34 week check -up today!! I was so excited for this one since I also got an ultrasound to see how much baby girl weighs and stuff. I looove ultrasounds lol. Anyway, they measured everything and told me (according to the ultrasound) that she weighs 5lbs and 10 ounces!!!!!! OMG. I didn't think she'd weigh so much this soon. They did tell me that it's just an approximate weight and it could be off by a pound. So she could be 4lbs or 6!!! Lol. I just hope she's not huuuuuge!!! I also got them to check to make sure she's still a girl lol. Her heartbeat was 133bpm (I think that's what she said??). Also Adelyn is already in a head down position and the ultrasound tech said she would most likely stay that way since it's more difficult for her to turn now. Yay!! Anyway, then I had to see the nurse practitioner for my check-up. She told me that everything looked great and I only gained one pound this time. Woo hoo!! Lol. Also, I go back in two weeks for my 36 week appt and that when they will start checking to see if I've dilated any. Then, I'll start going every week!!! How exciting!!! I'm sooo happy because I never thought I'd make it this far. After the first two losses I tried not to get my hopes up. But, seeing my little girl today on the ultrasound was the best thing in the world!! Even if she's a chunky monkey lol. She has got some chubby cheeks!! Lol. It's strange cause I was such a small baby and my hubby is a twin and he and his brother were born at 34 weeks so he was small too. But, I don't even care. Chubby or tiny...she's my little girl and I wouldn't change a thing about her. I'm gonna be a Mommy in a couple of weeks!!! Oh yeah, do any of you ladies see a nurse practitioner more than your actual doctor?? I've only seen my actual doctor once!!! Even today...I saw the nurse practitioner and the doctor was there cause I saw him walking out of one of the rooms.. I guess maybe that's normal?? Idk. Anyway, sorry this was super long but I had an exciting day lol. Also, I washed and put up all of Adelyn's clothes and her nursery is getting to where it's almost done. That's a relief!! My baby shower is tomorrow!!!! I'm soooooooooo excited. I'll update after that. I just love you ladies. Having you all to talk to and for support has been a huge help through this pregnancy!!! Good luck to all the ladies TTC and labor dust to the ladies who are almost there!!! And for those of you due around the same time as me, aren't you all getting so excited??!!! I know I am.
