Has anyone who has had the mirena gotten pregnant while on it?? I'm just wondering because I got it put in a month ago and am having some symptoms...ugh. I have an appt with the doctor next week for her to check it. The only thing is I have been bleeding ever since they put it in. It's soooooooooooo annoying and for some reason I'm so hormonal lol. I go from being fine to being in the worst mood. Well, anyway....My baby is doing perfectly. She's getting so big and I love her so much. She smiles so much and she's just so beautiful. I hope all of you ladies are doing so well.

Also............I was THE MOST hormonal person you could ever meet for the first few months of having the mirena fitted.........my husband was pulling his hair out!!!! x

Hi, hope u don't think i'm being nosey but i found myself on your page by going through frinds of friends etc etc and i read thos post.......i had the mirena for 3 years and at first i had all the signs to say i was pregnant too and i was bleeding from the moment they put it in until 3 months after......however, after this it was brilliant. I never had a period for the whole time i had it in!!! I think that because it is hormonal based it tricks your body into thinking its pregnant. Also i fell pregnant about 3 months after having the mirena taken out, so it doesn't affect your fertility later on if you decide to have anymore children. I hope the bleeding sorts itself out soon and you can relax having the mirena in. Take care Kerri-Ann x

well i got mine put in at the end of sept. and i havent had any problems with it. i am loosing weight and am not having cramps any more. the bleeding stopped in the first three days. and i just got a period with it. so i dont know. i have had a migraine since i started my period but my doc said that that is normal... especally if you got them before. so u like it? i was so scared about it being put in that i almost passed out. but them it wasn't that bad.

When i first had mine in i bleed all the time for a few weeks, then it slowed down then i stopped having periods which were cool. Had it for 5 and ahalf yrs never got preg. When it was takenout i got pregnant really fast lol. Im not allowed it again because towards the end it caused me to get a bad infection where i was in hospital for a week but that was on the 5 yr on the whole it was good.x

I had mirena put in on august 27th and since thatday I've been bleeidng heavy everyday almost all day long.I have also beenvery moody and can't seem to lose any weight at all even though I've started breastfeeding again.I'm getting mine checked tomorrow and then will be getting it taken out sometime within the next few weeks.I'm going to be put on the the only birth control pill you can take while breast feeding, cause I can't take the heavy bleeding everyday its been makin me dizzy.
