02-7-2009 - 37 weeks

My mood while writing this blog: tired

ok so today i am 37 weeks and let me tell you has it been a day! starting last night i kept having cramping in my lower stomach but then i started to have this cramping/dull pain in my lower back. so of course i couldn't sleep plus with the pain in my back i was kinda wondering what was going on. then our three year old gets up crying saying he seen a rabbit(of all things lol) in his room so by the time he calmed down i didn't get to go to sleep until almost 3 this morning. let's just say when my husband left for work this morning i was exhausted. anyways i was still having the cramping and back pain but went about my routine cause i knew i had my checkup today. went for my checkup and her heart beat was great no weight gain within the past few weeks and my blood pressure was good too.(this is great considering with my son i gained 45 lbs. and had high blood pressure the whole time) the dr i seen today didn't think it was necessary to check(where i go they have 6 drs and near the end they want you to see each one cause u never know who will be on call when u go into labor)so who knows if i have made any progress cause as of 35 weeks i hadn't dialted or done anything. i told him about the cramping and back pain and he said he thinks she is starting to drop. also mentioned the mucous thing to him and he said that also starts near the end when they are dropping and your body is preparing itself but said he didn't think it was the mucous plug so who knows. of course i have had that back pain off and on all afternoon so it's driving me crazy! it's not a horrible pain just one that's enough to irrate me and make me uncomfortable. i don't want her to come until she's ready but i hope i don't have to have these pains for 3 more weeks!

I am with you on the pain. Contractions and pelvic pain like crazy over here. I hope it gets better for you.
