My mood while writing this blog: unsure... |
ok...so i went for my monthly appt yesterday and everything went good, well, almost everything. my afp bloodwork came back perfect, so that was a relief, he said the baby is prob gonna be a chubber and i gained 5 lbs...16 lbs total...not too happy about that, but could be alot worse! the doc starts to look through my chart and we start to talk about me going 6 weeks early with my daughter...so he tells me that he really wants to see what my cervical length is and they will be checking that at my u/s on monday and may want me to get an u/s monthly to check it. he said it needs to be longer than 2.5cm and if it's not than we may have to discuss BED REST!!! i can't be on bedrest...i work fulltime and can't afford to not work. plus if i'm home, how can i be on bedrest if i'm running around after my 20 month old daughter?!?! now, as excited as i am for monday to come to have my u/s and hopefully find out what i'm having, i'm a little nervous as to what they may find! hopefully it's nothing cause i really do have a much better feeling about this pregnancy than i did about my last. i just had a horrible pregnancy with my daughter! crossing my fingers!!!
also posted my 19 week pic!

Thursday, 5 Feb Sorry to hear about your worries.. I will say a prayer for you. I hope things go well. Do you have any family that could help you with your 20month old? Im sure there are ppl willing to help you out, If your family cant I would ask someone in your church. They are usually more than happy to help.. Let us know what you find out.. mizzkeisha -
Thursday, 5 Feb Hope all goes well. I'm on bedrest and have been put on bedrest with every pregnancy, so I know exactly what you're dreading. I hope everything works itself out. umich0730 -
Thursday, 5 Feb Hey there, sounds like you got an ear full at your appointment, sorry to hear about that. Just be optimistic it is still early enough in your pregnancy for things to change. I just had an ultrasound done this past Monday and I was told that my placenta was really low and if it did not move I would be on bed rest as well and would have to have a c-section. I hate hearing about all these bad things. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there. Anesha -
Thursday, 5 Feb My daughter is 19 months and ditto on the horrible pregnancy. I went into preterm labor three times with her and was put on bedrest. It was really tough. The FMLA does afford 12 weeks of employment for pregnancy complications and if you have disability insurance with your job you can get some income. My daughter came at 37 weeks eventually and I get my cervix checked too. Now that I am coming up on that time period when all the preterm labor started I get nervous although like you I feel so much better this time around. I get nervous over every little pain I feel cuz I told my doc and he understand why I would freak out if the work BEDREST is mentioned. I only got partial income and have a toddler at home who needs me. Although I have a husband he is a man and does not do as much as I do now so God help her if she has to depend on him for every single thing. LOL! 1stbab -
