08-4-2009 - 28 weeks...appt and tears :o(

My mood while writing this blog:

the 28 week pics are up!!!

first let me wipe the tears from my eyes before i tell you all about my appt...i was dreading the weigh in and i had good reason for it...i gained 9 lbs!!!! yes, 9 lbs in 4 weeks, which brings me up to 33 lbs total!!!! and here's the kicker...i get on the scale and the nurse, who made a tisk sound the last time i got weighed, says, 'let me see something.' and tells me to get off and puts the scale back to 0 and makes sure that it's 'callibrated' right! and then says, 'that's a BIG jump in weight!' WTF...this bitch can't keep the comments to herself and i would LOVE to know how much all the other pregos gain cause i'm sure i'm NOT the only one gaining more than i should! then she takes my arm to check my pressure and says, ' oh, you're small, it's all baby weight.' thanks lady!!! but on a lighter note, i past my sugar test, my u/s results where good and baby's heartbeat was strong...i also have to start going every 2 weeks!!! gosh, time is really flying and can't believe i'm already to that point!!! now lets see how much i can manage to gain in the next 2 weeks...UGHHHH!!!

aw man....im with you and everyone else! in feb (the shortest month) i gained 7 lbs and in march i gained 8...yikes....they gave me the stink eye and said watch it but its like are you serious...and i was sooo sad and for a split second thought about starving myself...i wouldnt ever but thats how she made me feel like a fat cow....

i just went in for my checkup this past week too and i had gained 8lbs in 4 weeks. don't let it get to you. at least you passed your glucose test....i don't think i passed mine. :( 3 hour test here i come. i have to call the nurse back on monday but since they called i'm pretty sure i failed. UGH!

Also.. arent you on progestrone? That itself can make you gain weight.. Ive been on it and will continue to be on it untill my baby is born. Why is it that every drug out there has a side effect of weight gain and not weight loss? Just dosent seem fair..

Hey girl ..just got a chance to read your blog....i swear some people are something else...she had no right to even open her mouth to you about that...she's not even your doctor!!! ughh makes me mad even thinking about it...and just so you know you are NOT the only one whos gained over what "they" say we are supposed to...i'm up 40 lbs now whew!! Pregnancy definitally takes a lot out of us mentally and physically huh...i'm glad to hear you sugar test went well....hope your feeling better about everything!

ohh man, dont feel bad i gained 10 lbs in a month too (20-24 weeks) and i wasnt eating any more or any less than i had eaten the entire pregnancy. u prolly had ur growth spurt. cuz after that i didnt gain as much. i still gained more than i wanted. ive gained 40 lbs. but ohh well, what can u do? im not gonna sit and starve myself or deny myself food. we are pegnant and by God, we deserve whatever food we want!! thats the best part! haha but i know how annoying nurses can be. i gained like i think 4 or 5 lbs like 3 weeks ago and when the nurse weighed me she was like "woahh". i was like............. gee thanks. i already feel like a whale. u dont have to say 'woahhh'!!!!!!! ughh. it sucks gaining alot of weight. but seriously im pregnant and i just dont care lol. plus u look greatt! so i wouldnt be surprised if ur carrying alot of water weight. dont worry, ur almost done anyway =]

Dont feel bad, I am 28 weeks and I have gained 28 lbs. I have been putting on about 8 lbs a month for the last 4 months. I hopw it slows down, but im not gonna freak about it. You look great!

WOW what a wonderful nurse you have!! NOT!!!! omg she's horrible has she ever been preggo??? ugh i hate ppl like that... i had a nurse once at the hosptial when i went i was about 3 mths and they tried to find the heartbeat and we couldn't when i asked her if that meant anything she said "well you're FAT and sometimes the doppler can't find the baby's heartbeat through all your FAT" my bf wanter to fall on the ground laughing!!! I laid there and said "really?! i thought i weighed 95 pounds" (I'm overweight so u can see the sarcasem there)

i gained 55 pounds when i was preggo and i lost every pound u can check my pics so don t worry and f... the nurse,every woman is different

aww I am so sorry about the nurse. shes a bitch. congrats on your glucose test . Its amazeing how fast this pregnancy has gone isn't it?

my doctor told me it is perfectly NORMAL for women to gain 10 pounds in 4 weeks...infact, she told me to expect it...

Man. They are rude!!! I would not tolerate that. Or I'd say something sarcastic back. My doctor got mad when I went from 0 weight gain to 6 lbs. I argued on that!

That's good that jayson/Jason is doing good! So the sugar test is the glucose nasty drink test right?!

Just from your pictures, you look like you are handeling the weight of this pregnancy beautifully! You look like all baby! Don't feel bad, my last apt I gained 12 lbs in 4 weeks! I had a 3 week visit and gained 6 and now i'm down to every 2 weeks also, maybe it's just that we're going to have big boys that already have a hearty appetite :)

I have gained more than i was supposed to also. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I thought it gave me permission to eat 2 big macs a day, lol. We will just work it off after the baby is born!! FYI I have gained 37 lbs!!!!!!

Yeah I dont know why they make a stink about weight gain. I mean I eat no different now than I did before I got pregnant. I even eat better I I am still up 15 lbs. But alot of times I dont eat dinner cause I am just not hungry. I gained 40 lbs with my son and loved every minute of it.I think you look great dont let that bitch get to you.

Im right there with you, ive gained 34 lbs so far, I really havent been eating mych latly tho b/c Dj is sitting on my tummy and I feel sick everytime i eat now, so it might slow down some. My doc said since i gained so much in the beginning tht he will be okay and gain his fat from that. I think ive only gained a pound since i was 31 wks!!

You look really good! I have been gaining more than I should I think. The weight seems to be piling on so much quicker with this pregnancy than my first. Thank goodness the nurses and my doc have not said anything about it yet. Everytime I go in for an appt I feel like I am holding my breath waiting for something to be said about how much I have gained. I think I would probably cry...I mean I already feel self consious enough and huge. I don't really need someone else to tell me what I already know, right!?! Anyway you look really good. You don't look like you've gained too much!

Oh you are good with your weight. My last weigh in I gained 16 pounds in a month! I almost died and surprisingly I passed my glucose haha. By your pix you look great and the nurse is right. It's all baby!

hi hun dont worry about it i was 8 stone before i got pregnant but i have not been weighted since i my first app which was at 7wks i weight myself and my scales are digital and its telling me that am 10 stone 5lbs wow hehe! and my bumps not that big am at my next app on wednesday so if she does not weight me ill get her to do it and see what she gets i think thats alot for me 10stone 5lbs hopefully my scales could be wrong hehe! and i still got another 12 13 wks to go my midwife will be saying to me wow ur like a beach whale lol so dont worry hun u look great and she should keep her comments to herself x take care

Some people just have no couth!!! I'm sorry to hear that you have a mean nurse. I gained 11 pounds in 1 month so that's not that bad.

Try not to let it bother you though, I know its hard but you look GREAT and its for your baby :)

I'm right there with you! I've gained 30 lbs total and I do cry sometimes! But I know it is all going to be beneficial in the end. Besides you have a beautiful baby bump! Stay strong girl!! We're almost there.

What a beotch.. I would have complained to my dr. You look fine.... Dont worrie about what other ppl say. Who does she think she is? Honey, you are beautiful. Your belly is beautiful, your baby is perfect, so no tears. Dont cry. Everything is how is how it should be. Cheer up. Go make yourself some hot chocolate with extra whipped cream on top. Then have a second one for me.. :)

OMG the nurse did the same thing to me..she acted like she had never seen someone gain 10lbs in a month. Umm.. I'm pretty sure it happens all the time. But she was like "i dont like that number" !!!umm what?! So now, i have to see a nutrisionist.

you do look all baby, which is a good thing. I havent gained anything and Im 29 weeks as of Monday. But I'm a bigger girl so I dont have that pretty pregnancy bump like you, if that makes you feel any better. i'm sure you will lose it really fast after you have the baby. Dont stress about it, it could be worse and everything is going good for you and your pregnancy. I'm stuck on bed rest.
