Write a new blog

My mood while writing this blog: ... |
I can't remember who posted this in the polls section, but someone recommended the website
www.allrecipes.com as a good place to look for recipes based on the ingredients that you have available. Type in the stuff you have, and it pops out some recipes that contain those ingredients.
Well, the last few weeks, people at my workplace and my husband's workplace both have been giving us some vegetables from their gardens! We got cucumbers, and lots of tomatoes!!! So many cucumbers and tomatoes, I honestly don't know what to do with them. So they had been sitting in my fridge, and I worried they'd go bad. We had used them in salads, and we were getting saladed-out. So I remembered that website and went there to look for cucumber/tomato recipes! I found a lovely carrot-cucumber relish recipe, that I plan to try this weekend.
There are also weblogs of people there who love food! I love food, too! When I have time to cook, I love to try new recipes.
Here is a link to a woman's weblog about some
recent Hot Fudge she made.

In return, God has blessed us with even more. Yesterday, I got home, and there was a HUMUNGOUS bag sitting in the bedroom. One of my husband's friends at work gave us a TON of baby boy clothes!!!!! I spent a good part of the night sorting through them and giggling at the funny outfits. There are a couple of adorable Christmas outfits in there. I think her baby boy was born around the same time as ours will be, so the sizes will be perfect!
Anyway, it was a nice present to come home to. I had been feeling a little down because my family is so far away, and it seems that, as usual, no one in my family has been wanting to help us out financially. I explain our money problems, but no one understands. But, here where we live, people have been so generous to us, and I cannot express how much that means to me. I honestly feel that God has placed us where we needed to be, and that He knew that in our time of need, the people here could help us. And we could help them too.
