| 09-4-2009 - Hospital | My mood while writing this blog:Anxious |
Yesterday I had a normal checkup and they did an internal exam to see how much more dilated I was. Shortly after my appointment when I got home I started to bleed. It was brght red blood so it really had me worried. I called the nurse and she said it wil normal to have some bleeding after an internal exam. I have been checked before and have never had this happen. So as the day went on the blood got heavier and heavier. So when my dh got home I called the Dr and she said to come into the Labor and delivery unit at the hospital so they could check on things. So around 8:30 lastnight we went. I was so scared and worried, my blood pressure was even high. They checked me out and said everything looked ok. They think the Dr must have hit a vein near my cervix. The bleeding started to slow down once I got there and it started to turn more of a brown color. The baby must have felt my stress and his/her heartrate was pretty high 170's-180's. So they wouldnt send me home until it got down into the 150's where it usually is. So at about 11:00 the heartrate became more normal and my blood pressure went down as well. They said they wanted me to come back in the next day to do another NST to monitor the babys heartrate and make sure it was still normal.
So today I went in for the NST and all went well. Baby was sleeping when I got there, the heartrate was pretty low. Then they game me a granola bar and some ice and the baby woke up and was normal. I still have my u/s tomorrow to check on the babys growth..etc. I think next week I will ask to not have the internal exam....unless baby arrives before then ;) Baby will come when he/she want too. Knowing how dilated I am has nothing to do with when labor will come.......it just wasnt worth all the stress!
