| 04-5-2009 - Wonderful weekend/Update on Child Support | My mood while writing this blog:Thrilled |
Friday turned out to be such a nice day that when I got home we hung outside for a bit and then had a yummy late dinner and then went to bed early. Saturday I slept most of the day and watched TV which was really relaxing. We didn't do a whole lot of anything LOL which was so nice to just hang around and do nothing really except a little bit of laundry and some dishes. Sunday my mom was planning on taking me over to her co-workers house to get some baby stuff.
So Sunday rolls in and we get up and get ready. It was a really nice relaxing morning and I got to take my long shower and wash my hair and shave which is always so wonderful. Jason had left early in the morning to go and do some things so I didn't have to tend to him LOL Then we hop into the car and take off to my mom's friends/co-workers house and she grabbed the mail from Saturday on the way out of the drive way and in the mail I got this big folder from DSHS and I was thinking it had something to do with my move and change of address and county. I open it up and to my surprise it was from Division of Child Support...
It was my official copy of my child support case documents and it looks as though they have served Isaiah's bio dad! It also explained how much I should be getting per month starting on 5/1/2009!! I am thinking oh my goodness is this really happening? Then I look at the next spot over.... Total Past-Due Support Amount... of $29,843.48 as of 4/30/2009! WOW!! I kept staring at it like it was about to turn into something I owed or just be bad news of some sort, but nope... nothing bad in there towards me. And it even says right in the paperwork that they do nothing with visitation rights and if he wants to despute that then he will have to take it to the court and file a new case. I don't know if he will do that but I am ready for him if he tries. I just cannot believe that something actually happened with this situation and sooner than I honestly expected. I am not sure when I am going to start getting payments but just knowing that all that money is owed is amazing.
So then we get to my mom's co-workers house and she had a huge box of little girl clothes and a stroller/carseat duo that was in great condition. She also had some maternity clothes that she gave me. She didn't ask for any money for the clothes just maybe a donation to her rose garden. I only had $10 cash on me at that moment so I gave her that, but my mom said she was going to give her something too because she was so nice to give that to me.
So overall I had a pretty good weekend :o)
