08-6-2009 - Dr. appt today & updates

My mood while writing this blog: happy

It was so nice to sleep in a little bit this morning. I guess actually it was a lot since I got up at 7:30ish and normally get up around 5:20am. I have a dr appt this afternoon and had a couple vacation days left to burn up before July 1st so my boss said hey why don't you use one so you can save gas on driving to and from work, daycare, dr etc. NO PROBLEM! LOL So I am here lounging in my PJs still about to get into the shower. I have to go do my gestational diabetes test before my dr appt since I have yet to get that done. And then at 3:30pm I have my little check up with the dr so I will probably be stuck in the waiting room for an hour just to talk to the dr for a few minutes LOL It's hard working so far away from home and then having my dr in between at times because I have to do a lot of back and forth travelling so I don't really have a lot of time to do so and work. I cannot wait to get onto maternity leave. I am stoked for the end of July! Anyways, I just wanted to share my little updates before I got going with my day.

We had an awesome weekend. Saturday was really busy but fun. Started out with breakfast at this lovely little cafe where everything is so yummy and homemade. And then off to Chuck E Cheese for a little birthday party. Then we came home and went for a walk while Isaiah rode his bike along side of us. Movies and then bed. Sunday was nice too. We hung around the house and I cleaned and did laundry. Jason got out into the yard and edged the whole thing for my mom. While he was doing that my mom helped me consolidate my bills onto one of her low interest rate credit cards. That was a huge relief because instead of my having 6 payments going out a month I will drop it down to 1! :o) I am going to be able to make a bigger payment instead of smaller payments. That lifted so much stress off my shoulders. I am hoping everything transfers over correctly and it will probably be a couple of days before they all do since we did it on a Sunday. So the weekend was pretty good.

I am still dealing with a lot of pelvic pain. It is more managable and doesn't hurt as often but I get so sore after being up on my feet too much and it just aches in every movement I make. I try to ice it and take tylenol and it barely helps. I do my little stretches and stuff and that doesn't seem to help too much anymore. I am sad too because my insurance is only going to cover 3 more visits so instead of twice a week I am down to once a week until the end of this month. My PT was super awesome too and I really enjoyed her teaching me. She is about to have a baby boy as well so I might give her a little gift for baby when my time is up. I don't know if that is appropriate since she is in a professional position but I don't really care and think it would be nice. But still sad because my physical therapy actually made me feel alot better. I can tell the difference of not going twice a week already. I am almost done with this pregnancy though so I will survive.

My baby shower is coming along wonderfully. My invites are going out today so we will start to see how many people are actually going to show up. Since it will be a bday party/BBQ there will be men there and the number of people increase dramatically. Kids are welcome too. I am getting a big backyard pool so set up and we have been working on the yard making it pretty for everyone to see. We planted some flowers and have been working on watering the grass. And Jason edged it up. It will be on June 27th so only a couple weeks away!! I got a ton of stuff on my registry so I thank all the ladies who helped me get some ideas going. Once I started I was adding all kinds of cool things I didn't even think of. It is kinda nice having all the big tickets items so I can ask for all the little things I will need and even stuff for when Ari is older. Very exciting stuff. We have the menu mostly layed out as well for what we will be providing and then it will be a potluck as well so there will be a ton of food. I am really excited, did I say that already? LOL
