18-6-2008 - Cerys - first 2 weeks

Well, Cerys is now 2w1d today and things seem to be going really well. Don't get me wrong, I get tired at times but that's down to the blood levels being low still as well (see birth story for details) but it's worth it in the end.

She sleeps really well also, Friday she went down at 0030 and didn't wake up until 0650, last night she went down at 0005 and slept until 0530 so we can't complain about that either.

I'm breastfeeding Cerys and it seems to be working out ok - she didn't feed very well the first few days in the hospital but by the Thursday she seemed to be latching on ok. She was 6lb 11oz when she was born, 6lb 6oz when she left the hospital and on Friday 13th June she was 6lb 12.5oz. I won't find out what weight she is again until Friday when the Health Visitor comes. She seems to be in a pretty good routine too - feeding every 3-4 hours which is great!!

Her bellybutton cord fell off the first week she was home and seems to be healing up nicely too which I'm pleased about. I know that they don't have any feeling there but it looked so sore!!!

Anyway, I've just kinda babbled through this and I can't think of anything more to put so will update more later.
