26-6-2008 - 38 weeks BoredMy mood while writing this blog:
Bored

This HAS BEEN the longest of all weeks in this pregnancy. Im bored out of my mind sitting here on maternity leave. The idea of having all day to yourself is all good and fine, but when you actually wake up everyday with nothing to do, the reality is much more bleak. Im tring to read lots of books but to be honest I just cant concentrate for longer than about 3 minutes without thinking something baby-related. I dont mind all this time on my own, I actually quite like it. But I do think if I was at work then time would be going quicker. I miss work , I miss the kids, I miss the mental stimulation (and am harboring a secret fear my brain is going to turn to mush the longer I dont work).

We have a wonderful park thats only a 5 minute walk away. Ive been taking walks and going swimming there, trying to zen-out. On a walk last weekend with Matt we sat on a bench and watched the families with small children, playing soccer, learning to ride a bike and picnic-ing. It was like we were looking into a crystal ball and could see our future with Hunter. It almost brought me to tears (not that it take much to get me weepy this week) It was so intensely exciting watching them , I cant wait :)
