My mood while writing this blog: goofy |
We've all had 'em, now I'm asking you to fess up! What's your worst (or best) pregnancy brain snafu? I have 2 good ones:
from my first pregnancy, hubby and I were going out to PetSmart to get some more dog food, I was driving, we pulled into a parking spot, and hubby and I got out and started walking in.. all of a sudden hubby looked back at me like I had grown a second head, I said "what?" then looked back to realize I'd left the car running with the keys in the ignition and the doors unlocked... needless to say it was a while before hubby let me drive again!
and with this pregnancy, before I even found out, I was at my best friend's baby boy's 1st birthday party, the party was kinda dying down but we were still hanging out... it was time for my baby girl to eat so I set her up in the high chair, prepared some food and she ate. When she was done I went and got a washcloth to wipe her up with, I turned to the sink and turned the water on and put my finger under the water to wait for it to warm up. A minute or two later, my best friend's mother came in with a cup, she was going to get my best friend some water (she was HUGELY pregnant at the time), she saw my finger under the tap and asked me if I was waiting for it to warm up, I said "yes" thinking to myself, "isn't it obvious?" She said "it might help to turn on the hot water instead of the cold then!"
I hope you enjoyed my goofy confessions, please share yours, I'd love to hear them so I know I'm not the only person getting/that got dumb during pregnancy!

Tuesday, 7 Apr You were there for my stupidest comment! :-) But for anyone else reading the comments:
I was at my sister's house talking in the kitchen with her and another friend while Amanda served up dessert. The other friend was saying how she had so many birthdays in a row. Her soon-to-be-stepdad's birthday was one week, his twins' the next week and so on and so on and I piped up "he has a twin?" (he actually has kids that are twins and their birthday is a week after his.. Being a twin, you would think that I would KNOW that twins NEVER have a birthday a week apart!! Especially since I used to roll my eyes whenever I was asked if Amanda and I have the same birthday! :-))
That so far has been the worst! However, don't give up on me yet, I still have 19 weeks :-) Lol! thebigtomato -
Tuesday, 7 Apr I honestly was pretty level-headed during my pregnancy for the first time in my life! LOL The most EMBARRASSING thing I did was break down in front of my boss and coworkers about how I was SO TIRED! I was sobbing and blubbering like a fool! My boss was so sweet. She told me I could work flex hours if I wanted to since my itching from the cholestasis (which is what was keeping me awake) only struck at night. I still get a little flushed with embarrassment thinking about that! Also my boss walking in on me puking in my trash can. How graceful! LOL military~mommy -
Monday, 6 Apr Well, I got a new trainee while I was preggo and he was an inattentive piece of crap. He went TDY and screwed up alot of aircraft in out online data base. Being a piece of crap, he said "Grabby didn't train me right.." Except I trained 11 trainees that year, and he was the only dud. So I called him in Vegas, (I am in England) and called him every name I knew and then some, and told him he was the only idiot out of a long line of imbeciles I had been forced to train who came out this s#!tty! That same month I had 3 complaints from one guy of excessive rudeness over the Radio... I just get mean and nasty.... I am normally a person who doesn't like to hurt peoples feelings and am kind of soft spoken, so turning into Pregzilla was a shock for me, DH, and my co-workers! After my maternity leave several ppl told me I was much nicer... military~mommy -
