19-4-2009 - It's lookin' better!

So Friday was my first doctor's appointment, just the intake, so nothing too exciting, didn't get to hear the baby's heartbeat or anything, but I did get to schedule my first ultrasound, it's Monday at 2! I can't wait to see my bean! I had to pee in a cup (they test early for UTI) and get some blood drawn, one lady poked me twice and wiggled it around in there and STILL couldn't get any blood (luckily it didn't hurt) so she called someone else over and she got it on the first try, but I have a bruise now, I think it's from her... she was a little rougher, but at least she got the job done.
On Saturday I went to this huge sale called Bellies, Babies and Beyond, it's kinda like a huge garage sale of quality stuff that happens once every 6 months or so! I got a Graco double stroller for $50, a Graco Play Pen for $30, an Eddie Bauer Diaper bag for $10, some 12-18month Robeez for $15, some crib bite guards (for only $2!!) and some clothes for Bekah! all in all I spent around $150, but it was worth it! I got a lot of great stuff! I'm super excited! It still seems weird to me that I'll need the double stroller, but I figure it'll feel more real when I see the baby's heartbeating on Monday! Now pretty much the only big things we'll need for this baby is the crib/crib mattress and a dresser!
Today we're planning a trip to the beach since it's supposed to be great weather! Bekah has only been once and it was when she was still pretty tiny (the end of last summer, so maybe 3 months?) and it was so windy I had to keep her covered in her front pack the entire time so she really didn't see much of the beach... this time I'll get to let her play in the sand, it's supposed to be gorgeous and warm and not very windy (which is unique for the Oregon Coast! :-)) I know i'll have to watch her carefully though so she doesn't try to EAT the sand! :-) The only downside to the weekend is that I get to end it working since I have a deadline tomorrow at noon! Boo hiss! But I'm not going to worry about it, or even think about it till we get back from the beach, I'm just going to enjoy this afternoon! I hope you all do too!

Arg!!! I am so jealous of the great sale!!!! Lol, glad the pregnancy is going better, we are still TTC but the cycles are evening out, so wish us some baby dust and a positive OPK!!!
