01-4-2009 - Little Update

My mood while writing this blog: happy and calmer

It is indeed NOT an April Fools joke, I really AM pregnant again! (I was wondering how many people wouldn't believe me if I told them today! That's part of the reason we haven't told my in-laws yet!)I took another test after work today, I stopped by the store and picked up a First Response test (this morning's positive was brought to you by EPT!) and peed on it before going out to dinner for my BIL's birthday (Yummy Olive Garden!). This time instead of dipping the stick I peed straight on it, I pulled it up, held it flat and grabbed some toilet paper, it turned positive before I could even wipe! And the positive line (it's a 2 line test in case you haven't taken this one before) showed up before the control line and is still darker and thicker! I still can't hardly believe it, it doesn't seem QUITE real, but I am a lot less nervous than I was this morning, I don't get shaky just thinking about it, and I think I'm done (or at least close to done) saying "Holy Cow!" lol!
The funny thing is that just a couple days ago, on March 28th, we took my FIL out for his birthday dinner and he asked if we were pregnant and I said no! Now I'm going to have to go back and tell him I was wrong and we are indeed expecting his second grandchild!
I'm really starting to think God has a sense of humor, I had just come to the conclusion that we should wait until October to get pregnant so that I'd be pregnant in Hawaii and not have a young baby in Hawaii with us, and that we could leave Bekah at home with the grandparents and finally have our honeymoon that we couldn't afford when we first got married. As soon as I really accept this is the way it should be, BAM! I find out I'm pregnant! He sure does have funny timing! But really, I couldn't be happier, I am excited for this baby and very glad to be so blessed!
