| 05-9-2009 - 23 weeks and 1 day | My mood while writing this blog:anxious |
So yesterday I went to my doctors appointment. Apparently my scale at home is really wrong. I gained 9 lbs since last month :( (oops) lol. I am going to try and keep that low from now on. My obgyn gave me the papers to have the glucose test done in 2 weeks. She also told me for the first time that I am RH-negative. I wish she would have told that to me sooner. She also couldn't explain to me what that meant so I was all worried and came home and had to look it up myself. So after I have my glucose test.. I have to schedule an appointment at the hospital to have the Rhogam shot. I feel like I want the shot sooner after what I read. From what I understand my immune system attacks blood with positive antigens. Meaning if Jacob were to have positive blood and my blood passes through the placenta it could attack him and can be very fatal. It really scared me when I read that but as long as I get this shot I should be alright. I got to hear the baby's heartbeat again. I love hearing it! Now for some reason I have to go back on September 16. Who knows? Anyways, this morning I went to a kids consignment sale with my fiance's grandma and she bought us an umbrella stroller that was hardly used and 2 brand new snowsuits. Also, we got 15 outfits and it all came to 88 dollars. I don't think that was a bad deal. I can't wait to see Jacob in all his cute outfits and be able to hold him in my hands. I love him so much already!
