12-8-2009 - 9 1/2-10 months old

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

I can't believe that Molly is 9 1/2 months old already! Today she started to crawl finally! She has been trying so hard and she finally figured out how to move her knees with her hands. she looks so cute...still a little wobbly. Now its time for us to baby proof the house!!! We lowered her crib all the way down today. We figured that soon she will be standing up so why bother lowering it half way.

She went on a little nursing strike last week and I was so worried because she was only nursing 2 times a day. She would fight me and she does not take a bottle so I was worried that she was not eating enough milk. The Dr said that she should nurse 3-4 times a day. So I called the nursing consultant and she gave me some advice. I found some fun beads to put around my neck. While I am nursing, she plays with mommys beads and she is less distracted. Now she is back to nursing 4 times a day. Sometimes 5 times. So we are both happy now!! When its time to nurse I go get the beads and say its time for a "Boobie Snack" and she gets all excited. And I have started to try and nurse her before a meal so she will drink more milk than eat food. Since the milk is still more important right now.

Mollys favorite books are: "Where is Babys Belly Button?" and "Good night moon". She gets mad if we try to read her another book.

She weighed 16 pounds 11 ounces and was 27 3/4 tall at her 9 month appointment. So she is in the 20% for weight and 55% for height.

She says Mama now!!! I love it! She says it so clear and this morning I heard her say Dada while she was playing alone. She will not say dada on demand yet but mama is her favorite word. She loves to snuggle. I say can I have a snuggle? and she burrows her head into my chest. Its like a little game we play :)

Life is full of fun right now!

10 months:

Molly is still fitting into 3-6 month clothes. She is still a peanut!

She is nursing 4-5 times a day still. Biting me alot lately. And then grabing at my nipple like she wants to pull it off. Ouch!! Her 7th tooth came in on the bottom so I think thats why she is biting more. Thats when I know another one is coming in.

She is such a snuggle bug now. She is our sweetie pie. She is attached to mommy lately. Which is fine with me :) I love to be with her. She cries when I leave the room and she comes looking for me. She is getting really fast with crawling. She is into everything! We really need to childproof this house now.

Thats so awesome. Im so glad you got the BF back on track. Thats pretty creative. Love the updates. Cant believe how fast our girl's are growing up.

Yah! Way to go! And you are right with crawling comes standing and with standing comes Trouble! Carson gets into anything and everything. Be prepared to be on your toes.

Good thing you lowered the crib all the way. We made that mistake of only lowering it to the inbetween spot as soon as she could sit up on her own, but we waited for about 2 weeks after she started crawling to lower it all the way. She never fell out, but the anxiety of it happening had my guts rolling every time I thought about it. Lily started crawling at about 8-1/2 months (3 weeks ago), and a week after that she was standing and pulling herself up on furniture. Their muscle coordination is growing in leaps and bounds right now, and the next couple weeks you will really notice how everything just "clicks" once they start crawling. Your molly is precious, and we are lucky to have such amazing daughters :-)

Wow!! I can't believe it has been that long either!! My little booger is almost 4 months! Time flies, doesn't it? I'm glad to see all is well! xoxoxo
