20-11-2009 - 28 weeks and new 4D pics

Hello ladies... Things are going well, I had my 28 week appt and u/s on Tuesday. I've gained 16lbs, and I look like Im 9 1/2 months pregnant...LOL! I am ALL BELLY...and its OUT THERE!! This is my fourth pregnancy and my belly button has never popped out or even came close, but that has all changed this time around..HA! It has crept its way out and it looks so funny!...I cant imagine what Ill look like in 10-12 more weeks. Baby Champ is sooo active and Im thankful everyday that he makes me aware that he's healthy and kicking! The u/s showed that he is doing great...he has all parts and he's still a boy..LOL... The u/s tech said he's 2lb 10oz and he's showing that he's due on Feb. 4...his original due date is Feb. 10.... so he's measuring big! All 3 of my children have all been small babies...between 5lb 14oz to 6lb 9oz....so to have a big baby will be quite different! Im actually excited that he's measuring big.... My circumvallate placenta issue that I have puts me at high risk for premature labor so if that does happen, I think him being a little bigger will be to his advantage.... At the u/s we did get some cute pics if you want to check them out... Im amazed at how smooshed up he already is and he's still got another 4-5lbs to gain! In other news...my entire household has been sick for the last 2 plus weeks...my kids have had everything from strep throat to the croup... The last of the sickness is about over...or at least I hope! Since Ive wrote a book already, Ill end this with my newest exciting news... My little girl Lyla Kae who is in kindergarten asked if she could participate in her school pageant... I was a little skeptical b/c I worry about the atmosphere of pageants...but to be honest she's the most beautiful little redhead I know (of course Im biased) and her self esteem could use a little boost! She doesnt like being "different"...so I thought this would be a good opportunity to let herself feel as beautiful as she truly is.... I assumed a school pageant would be mostly natural and so thats how we went about it.. I got her a pretty dress for $39..., I did her hair at home and put her on some lip gloss... That was that... When we showed up to the pageant, I realized I had underestimated the pageant big time... Out of 16 girls in my daughters age group, her and two others went natural...the others were in the most elegant pageant gowns, fake hair, professional hair and makeup and the whole 9 yards.... At that point I was like well its ok, we came into this with NO expectations other than for her to feel beautiful and have a moment of her own... Let me say..she had a moment... She walked across that stage with the most beautiful smile and confidence... I was melting with pride... She ended up winning First Runner Up to our surprise..not that we didnt think she deserved it...its just we didnt know if her natural look would be able to compete with the other glammed up girls... Needless to say, the night ended wonderful! I have to say, my heart did go out to those who walked away empty handed...more so for their moms... Most of the girls seemed happy just to be a part of the competition, but some of the mothers were very bitter... One lady refused to let her daughter talk to Lyla Kae when Lyla Kae came to congratulate her.... (they are 5 years old) That broke my heart.... I can truly say that if Lyla Kae had walked away empty handed it would only be natural to feel a little disappointed, but I know in my heart I would have still left there feeling proud.... Just her pride in herself and that smile that went from ear to ear was enough to make her special night worth it all!

cute!!! but im glad u went natural b/c some of those moms r CRAZY!!!! there is no need for a 5year old to look like a hooker! lol hope everyone starts feeling better soon!
