22-1-2009 - What A Relief!!

Had another doctor's appointment today to see how our little peanut was growing... What a huge relief when we saw the baby and then the heartbeat!! I almost cried!! The baby was a few days ahead of schedule which was also a sigh of relief.. At 5 weeks, we had a consult with my doctor and just for fun he did an ultrasound. What I didn't know till today is that he couldn't see the baby (it must have been against my uterus and hiding).. It's amazing to see how much bigger the baby has grown in just 3 weeks.. In 3 weeks, we are heading to a maternal fetal specialist to have a 1st Trimester Screening to see if this baby has any characteristics of having a Trisomy like our son had.. Once we get the results back, I will feel like a huge weight lifted off me.. Until then we just keep praying and having faith that this pregnancy will be a healthy one!!
