30-7-2009 - What to register for if you are a first timer. I wish I had this.

Ok. So my SIL emailed me and asked if I could put a list together of things she should register for. I thought I would share this with other first timers. I got so many things I didn't need or want and never used. Here it goes, it's a lot of stuff:

These are awesome because you can pump right into the bottle, didn't see them at babiesrus:

This is awesome because you have to feed the baby every 2 hours from start to start for 3 months. That means if you feed the baby at 2:00 and breast feed for 45 minutes, you have to feed again at 4. Which only gives you an 1 hour and 15 minutes break. This is continuously 24 hours all day and through the night. You are so tired you don't remember when you fed last:

I would register for one of these ear thermometers for down the road. When they get older good luck checking tempature the other way. You can do your research on a better one, but I would definitely register for one:

I would also register for tons of these, there is a generic brand at target that is much, much, much cheaper and it works just as good for future reference. This stuff will save your life and your babies. Babies always have tummy issues and this will help soooo much:

Good to register for an extra car seat base for whatever carseat you choose to get if it needs one. Britax brand is the best but really expensive. I would get one that holds at least up to 30lbs because the baby will grow out of it too fast if it is one of the little ones that only hold up to 22 lbs.
