26-6-2008 - Week 11

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

9 June

Well Trystian was not happy today... Daddy just couldnt do anything to get him to quiet down. Tried eating, changed diaper, playing on back, tummy, sitting up... Tried the bouncy, the swing, everything!!! Well Trystian came to visit me at work!! So I carried Trystian around and all the folks at work were very happy to see a happy baby!! :) I tried to hand him to daddy to go potty and he was angry again. Just a mommy day I suppose! We can't have too many of those, or work will get mad, but I know they dont mind. So started outprocessing for Oklahoma today... got paperwork done and turned in. Waiting on the outprocessing checklist and orders. Then the fun begins!!!

Trying to figure out what we are going to need, and what not to have packed and sent to OK before we leave. I know we are using cloth diapers, so maybe we might have to buy some disposables because I don't know how often we will be able to do laundry on the move and waiting for our stuff to arrive. Also, he will be 3-4 months, so we will need bottles, and such, but his clothes, he's starting to outgrow some stuff, and I dont know if I should just pack 0-3 month clothes, or 3-6 month clothes... I am unsure of what exactly to keep with us, because If I dont pack the right clothes, or he grows out before we get our stuff back, then I will have to go buy more clothes!!! We have tons of clothes and just want to not have the hassle of buying more clothes. Oh and the playpen, should we keep that with us, or how will that work, when we get our stuff packed up and gone, well he needs a place to stay, but the playpen will count as 1 piece of luggage at the airport, and with all the new guidelines of only having 1 piece per person, well that's gonna be a lot of stuff to cram into 1 other piece of luggage... we were told that we will get 1 luggage for Tony, and 1 for me, and Trystian get's a diaper bag carry on... So if we have a playpen as one, then we have to fit all Tony, Me and Trystian clothes and equipment, formula etc into one bag less that 70 or 50 lbs depending on the airline we get tickets for. ugh, lot's of stuff to think about and worry about!!!

I tested for Staff Sergeant today... Not saying I did well or not... I will find out if I made it in late summer early fall. Well, I got out of testing and went to work. I find out that I am going to Tinker AB in Oklahoma!! Not so happy with this! It's for Trystians well being, but not happy with the placement. oh well. We will make the best of it. Even found out they want us out of here next month!! That's a quick turn around!! Well so I went home to get yard sale together.

Trystian is doing good. He's gaining weight, we know that. His carseat seems to get heavier every time we pick it up! He's growing great. His 0-3 month sleepers are too short for him now!! We have to find some new sleepers for him now!! Not to mention he is almost grown out of his swaddler. He can't sleep more than about 10-30 mins without being swaddled. We have tried, and it was a long night!! So he loves to be swaddled, and we now have a bedtime routine that he falls right to sleep afterwards and sleeps about 6 hours!! We usually tried to get to bed right as he went to bed, but now we are staying up well after he goes to bed, and by the time we are going to bed, he's waking up for a small feeding.

As of date, he usually eats 6-8 oz in the morning, then a few hours later he takes another 6-8oz. Around lunch when I'm home, he will take about 4oz and then he's usually fed another 4 oz when before I get home. Then around 6-7 he takes another 4-8oz. Right at bedtime he will usually take about 4oz, then he will wake up in the middle of the night and eat about 2oz. So let's see total he eats about 36 oz a day!

His diahrea has gotten better too! He poops like 2 times a day again now, and completely fills the diaper!!! I still dont know how a baby can produce that much poop!!! LOL

His favorite time of the day is in the morning when I wake up and play with him before work! He's full of smiles! Then he's usually talking back and cooing, gurgling, and smiles all around right after bathtime!!! He loves bathtime, he splish splashes all the time now... loves it!!! then when we are drying off, he's just so excited and happy!! He still hates tummy time!!! I have gotten him to like it for about 5 mins tho, have to constantly change it up!! We tried putting him propped up on the boppy, tried putting him on the floor without one, tried the bed, his crib, tried using toys and noise, lights and stuff... He loves to sit up and be upright!! I usually put him in a carrier and carry him around when I get home from work! I think it's making him angry during the day tho, cuz daddy doesnt carry him as much because daddy is afraid he's going to drop him. But he's happy as soon as I come home!!
