19-9-2008 - Just some advice needed

My mood while writing this blog:

im not sure if im leaking fluid or not .... last night i was sat down and felt some liquid come out (sorry - TMI)! It leaked through to my trousers - about the size of the apple - my mum said maybe the baby kicked my bladder but she wasnt moving at the time - i havent spoke to the hospital because i went up there on Tuesday and i swear they are FED UP with me! not sure what to do - her movements have slowed down the last 3 days but i thought that was just because she is so big now? any ideas ladies cuz im getting a bit worried xxxx

It could be that baby was sitting too hard on your bladder compressing it and some urine came out. Did you smell it? The moving less has happened to me also. Remember they have less space now. However, never feel like you are bothering the doc too much. thats what they are there for and it isnt free. LOL. Babys health goes first so any concern, CALL. Who cares if you bug too much? Theres always someone worse anyway! lol Call your doctorand good luck!!!!

hey there, you should go to them just to be on the safe side. i had a little leak, maybe even less than what you had on my last baby at around 30 weeks and didn't go to the hosp but mentioned it on my next visit. they did an internal and it was my waters leaking, they had to keep me in straight away for an antibiotic so the baby wouldn't get any infection. hope all is ok

hiya hun, i had something like this a few weeks ago, and it was about the size of an apple for me too, maybe even abit bigger. The hospital told me to sit down with a cup of tea and a sanitary towel on for an hour, resting doing nothing at all, then after an hour check the pad to see if you have leaked again. If the pad is very wet, then phone the midwife and they may want to do an internal (they did with me) I went to hospital and they checked me over, and said it wasn't my waters breaking and everything seemed ok and sent me home. Hope this helps hun, keep me updated xxx
