Write a new blog

My mood while writing this blog: Thoughts Before Bed |
I am sure I will have some people thinking I am horrile for even admitting this but hey,...I'm honest and have never been good at being politically correct.
Those of you who also have bi-racial children may understand where I am coming from with this but........
I hope this next child has more "Color." My first son looks almost like I made him by myself. You just do not see Blonde haired Blue eyed Bi-racial children running around too often.
I always make jokes that Caleb didn't cook long enough because he was born so early, hence his HIGH yellow complexion. I mean no harm by it, he is a good looking,.... down right striking looking kid because of his unique appearance. It is just amazing how much my first son favors me. I hope his brother favors his dad a bit more. Moreso in personality. We do not need another hyperactive, emotionally charged, irish temper running around here.
I have a name and a birthplan picked out but I chose not to share much about that because some folks do not know how to censor their unsolicited opinion and I would rather not allow them the opportunity to tick me off.
Ok I'm done yammering random thoughts. I am going to attempt sleep now.

Sunday, 19 Apr Hey! It is 4am & I am wide awake (of course) so I'm just dinking around on the internet. Anyways, I am so with you as far as being honest & not politically correct (often I stick my foot in my mouth with socially inappropriate things, but whatever!), anyways, I don 't think you are horrible at all. It is perfectly ok to want your child to have certain features from the father & certain ones from you. That's how every mom is, I think. There's nothing wrong with wanting your kids skin tone (or eyes, hair, personality, etc.) to be like their dads - afterall you do love that person don't you? People need to just relax about out this politically correct bullshit. My cousin who is caucasian married a woman from Cambodia. She is absolutely beautiful. They recently had a baby girl & are hoping she looks more "white" because they think she will have an easier time being accepted. I think in this day and age, it doesn't really matter anyways, the world is becoming so diverse that skin color really shouldn't matter in the least. Anyways, sorry I am writing a novel here, like I said, it's 4am and I'm sort of rambling..... gabemom -
Saturday, 18 Apr Your son is so cute! I agree with wendy125, those girls won't leave him alone. I was wondering what my little man would look like. It actually took a good month for his color to be what it is now. I love it!!! LADYSOAL -

Saturday, 18 Apr Your first son is a gorgeous kid. I'm sure he'll be very popular with ladies.
My boyfriend is hispanic (which is different, I know), but I'm hoping she has a darker skin tone than mine. I am very pale. My bf never really goes outside during the day and has a perma-tan. I'm hoping she is somewhere in the middle. But I do want her to have my eyes though. Maybe light brown hair, hazel (or green) eyes and an olive skin tone.
