| 21-4-2009 - 26 Week Appointment | My mood while writing this blog:Sleepy & Irritated |
I spoke with my doctor yesterday and he upped my Terbutaline and finally by about 1 a.m. last night the contractions quieted down.
I had my appointment this morning at 8:30 to do the glucose test etc. and when I get there my doctor was called away to the hospital and I had to see his partner. I was NOT happy about that. The guy has not done anything wrong but I just don't like him. His body language screams "Let me hurry and get this over with" so I always feel rushed. It seems like he does not take his job seriously or like it. Usually they at least tell you what the baby's heart rate is and what your fundal measurements are but I felt more like I was on an inspection assembly line for cattle. As long as I you don't ooze anything and can still walk they brand you on the butt with the cattle iron and send you on through to the patures. I was told nothing and I knew if I had asked, the frustrated response would have just irritated me more so I felt it was best to just go.
I left the same way I came and pretty much he told me nothing other than he wanted me back in two weeks to see MY doctor for an ultrasound to measure my cervix. I also scheduled my 4D ultrasound and decided to wait until 32 weeks to give him time to fatten up and look more like he will at birth before we see him.
Rather than work myself up I am just going to continue to follow my bed rest orders for another two weeks until I can get in to see my doctor.
Good news is that the contractions have stopped and I was even able to take an hour nap. I just woke up to have a sandwich and I am going to try and go back to sleep.
