18-9-2009 - The worst thing that could happen....Just so sad

My mood while writing this blog:
heartbroken

Saturday morning my ex-husband (who is still one of my best friends) called me to tell me that his former step daughter and his son's older sister had died. She was only 16 years old. Her and three of her friends were in a jeep climbing up the steep letter B on our mountain side. It represents Bountiful. The jeep flipped and she was thrown from the jeep. She hit the ground and the vehicle landed on top of her. The other three were just fine. I just cried as that is my worst fear. I could never imagine getting that call.

Dustin (my ex) just came to get Keiley for the night after and had just come from Porscha's veiwing. DJ (my stepson...well used to be but I still consider him my son) came running out and just cried in my arms. He is only 10 years old. Dustin was crying saying that was the hardest thing he has ever had to do. I kissed DJ and Keiley and told them I loved them so much. I told Keiley to take care of her daddy and big brother tonight cuz they are going to need some extra love. As they pulled away I just started to cry. It makes me sick to my stomach to think of what Wendy is going through. I just ache. Just keep them in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow as they say their final goodbyes to their little girl at her funeral.

ohhh thats soo sad, i am soo sorry =( it's soo hard to lose someone so close and they are sooo young too! i'm very sorry for ur family, *hugs* just wondering if u are close to DJ like talking to him everyday kinda thing. i think he's gonna need a lot of love and someone to talk too. ur family is in our prayers *hugs*

Woah, I am so sorry that this shocking news has rocked your family. You are such a strong, supportive woman, and seem to know what needs to be done to help things 'feel right; in any situation. Good for you for being so amazing in this terrible situation. Take care, and yes, I always hug my loved ones extra hard 'just in case' the worst happens, though (knock wood) hope that never happens.

Aw, that's so sad! I had to get "the call" about my dad when he was killed in a car accident, but to get the call for your son or daughter would just be so devastating! I could hardly even immagine!
