14-10-2009 - How should I tell them I am pregnant! HELP! :)

My mood while writing this blog:
excited! :)

Okay ladies I need your help doing something fun! So You may be surprised to hear that I have NOT told the majority of MY family... (just my brother and sister and then of course Shawn's whole family knows because none of them can keep their mouth's shut! LOL!) I HAVEN'T EVEN TOLD MY DAUGHTER YET! The reason is simply because we wanted to make sure everything was squared away and I wanted to make sure baby was doing well.

Well next week on the 23rd we are planning to get our 3D U/S done to find out what we are having.... I will be 16 weeks to the day. So since we will HOPEFULLY know what sex the baby is we thought we could hold out another week past that and tell everyone on halloween. I want to do something fun and cute! Something that's obvious but NOT obvious....( it was suggested I be a pregnant nun....simply because a pregnant nun is an ACTUAL costume and I should be showing pretty good by then...so it would keep people guessing...) but I don't know. I just want it to be creative and fun but I have pregnancy brain right now and can't think of a thing!!! HELP!!! LOL! :)

On a side note my daughter will be finding out the day of the U/S as we are taking her.....so hopefully she doesn't spill the beans!!! (which is a good possibility! HAHAHA!)

I think this would be a cute thing to wear. its not really a costume, but if you get creative you can make it into one. This is what im wearing for halloween..Or, since you are getting your 3d sonogram before hand, you could use one of these or if you want, these are at http://www.gladditudes.com/maternity_tshirts.html

oh carve pumpkins, one for each of ur family memeber and then a tiny one with a bonnet!!!!! that would be so adorable and as people go to see you they will see each family memeber in a row and the baby one!!!! or you can do any costume as a pregnant one, a pregnant cheerleader, nun, (i was pregnant with dj and i was Alice) let me know what you decide to do!!!!!

Oh how fun! I like the pregnant nun idea, that's super cute! Maybe you could find a way to tell people by showing them your belly that says something like "I am pregnant" or "Newest member of __ Family" on it!

If your family has texting you should mass text a picture of the ultrasound :) Thats how we told most of our family and friends that it was a girl. If it was closer to xmas you could send a copy of the ultrasound in everyones xmas cards but I doubt you wanna wait that long lol Maybe send halloween cards just for that purpose lol
