| 27-1-2010 - long night (and morning) in the ER..:/ | My mood while writing this blog:tired |
Monday evening about 10pm or so I began to throw up. Every 30-40 minutes after that I was throwing up until it was the most disgusting DARK green bile I had ever seen. I couldn't even keep a SIP of water down. Just that sip would cause me so dry heave for minutes. A few hours into it my back began to burn. Right where my kidneys are. Because of past kidney problems (one that was on the verge of being septic and almost cost me my life) I debated on whether to go to the er or not. I spoke with my nurse who advised me to try some promethazine (SP) and if my symptoms continue for another 4 hours to go into L&D. Well I coulddn't even keep the pills down and after a full 24 hours and being in so much pain I was in tears,Shawn took me to the ER. They Tried to get me to give a urine sample but I was terribly dehydrated. It took 3 FULL bags of saline for me to produce a quarter ounce of urine. They couldn't even draw my blood until after a full bag because I was lacking fluids. The Dr. suspected a severe kidney infection but all I came back with was having anemia, which I guess is not good so I have to follow up with dr. He still thinks I may be on the verge of kidney stones and he wants me to come in if at ANY point my back pain gets worse. He also told me that it was a VERY good thing I came in. I was way more dehydrated than I should have been and no one should ever let it get that bad if they can help it. Well, I feel like crap today but I haven't thrown up once! :) And I actually went to the bathroon for the first time about 2 hours ago. It may not seem that great to you, but when it has been almost 50 hours since you have FULLY peed it seems like a big accomplishment! :) I can barely swollow today because my tubes are burnt from all the acid, but I can drink some fluids today which is a great thing. :)
On another great note, Charlie is doing GREAT! His heart stayed at 145+ the whole time! He kicked the monitors off a few times which made me laugh. Well I am off to get the kids dinner and then to see if I can lay down for a bit. I hope everyone is doing well!!! :)
BOY OR GIRL?? :) Any Guesses? I am 16 weeks (tomorrow) and I still have M/S. I a...
