My mood while writing this blog: bummed out! |
Well, good news and bad news......good news first ~ the baby is okay!!! Bad news ~ I broke my left foot in two places.
Today on the way out of the door, headed to my doctors appt, I fell down our front outside steps. Only 3 steps, but it was enough. I don't really know what happened because it just happened so fast. I just knew I was falling. I landed on my left foot at an odd angle and it bore all of my weight. Then I was able to steady myself with my left hand. It hurt so bad that I knew I was not going to be able to just get up and return to my plans.
My 2 and a half year old daughter was at the top of the steps crying. I tried to get her to go back inside the door (which was still open) and get the phone but she couldn't. I was so glad I did not knock her down too. Praise the Lord!! I called for help and the neighbor girl came over with her phone. I called my husband but his phone didn't have signal where he was and I called my mom and she didn't answer. The neighbor girl's boyfriend helped me in the house and it hurt so bad that I had to crawl once I got in the door. I was able then to get ahold of my mom who came over and watched my daughter. And my husband got the msg that he needed to call me and headed home.
I was at the hospital for 5 hours. First to the ER where I got x-rays and then up to OB/delivery to get the baby monitored. The baby was fine. I fell at and angle and never even bumped my belly. The baby was kicking the whole time :) Any way turns out I broke 2 bones in my foot and it hurts like crazy. They wrapped it up in a sort of splint and I go to the bone doctor Monday.
I am so glad the baby is okay and Mia is okay. I am now just discouraged :( It hurts so bad and I can't put any weight on it. They sent me home with crutches which are very hard to get around on and they perscribed me vicatin. I haven't taken the pain med yet. I really don't want too.
Now I am basically imobile, with a 2 yr old to care for and a baby set to come in exactly 30 days. I just don't know how I am going to do this........I need your prayers ladies, that I will be strengthened and healing would be quick. ~Thanks........

Thursday, 28 May I will pray for you! This will be tough - but you can do it - all things are possible with God! I broke my foot about 12 years ago and my youngest daughter broke hers last summer, so we know the ropes! Find a chair that you can roll around in, like an office chair or even a wheelchair, so you can be mobile within your house without the worry of crutches... littledovey -
Thursday, 28 May Oh no! How horrible. I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this on top of all else going on right now. I'm sure that Mia will understand somewhat - it must have been quite upsetting for her to see you fall. Thank goodness your neighbours were home and that they are nice people! Well wishes for a quick as possible recovery - is there anyone who can stay with you for the first couple of weeks after you have the baby? missyv28 (pink) -
Thursday, 28 May Oh Aubrey I'm so sorry! You poor thing! So glad the baby is ok but I know your in pain. The vicodin is ok. I took so in early pregnancy only when I was in so much pain I couldn't stand it but it's such a low dose cuz of pregnancy u don't get all loopy and can still watch your daughter. I'm sure Mia understands you have an ouchie and can't do much. Poor Mia had to watch you fall and thank goodness for good neighbors! One of the moms said she fell yesterday holding her 21 month old and a couple walked by looked at her and kept walking. Rude! Anyway I hope you feel better! Good luck! *hugs*
