19-9-2009 - 2nd Trimester

My mood while writing this blog: relaxed & happy

Well, I've finally made it to the second trimester and what relief! I never thought this day would happen. After my two miscarriages this year I thought for sure I wasn't meant have any more babies. Much to my surprise, we were blessed again. Everything up to this point has been going wonderfully. We had our NT screening a couple of weeks ago and all the tests came back great with very little risk of Downs/trisomy13 or trisomy 18. Also, I'm not a carrier of CF, which is a a relief.

I listen nightly to the baby's hb, which is such great reassurance. The hb is anywhere from 145 to 152....so wonderful to hear.

Have started feeling really faint movement this week. I felt it at 17 weeks with my son and sure enough, it's sooner this time.

I've uploaded a couple of pictures from our 12 week ultrasound. Love the second one. Amazes me how perfect of a little hand it already is.
