28-3-2009 - 33 week ultrasound

My mood while writing this blog:

So I had growth ultrasound yesterday and everything turned out great!!! My baby girl now weighs 4 lbs 10 oz... She is just a tiny bit smaller but still average and consistent with my due date. It makes me so happy because the last time they checked her size, she was a week behind and only weighed 2 lbs 1 oz at 28 weeks. Also my amniotic fluid is now normal, pool therapy helped.

The high risk dr here at the hospital gave me the ok to go home and complete my bedrest since my baby is almost at that 5 lbs mark and she is head down and I'm basically in the safety zone especially since at 28 weeks I had steriod shots to help her lungs develop incase I did go into labor earlier. So the dr said she would send me home and asked if me and my dr had talked about it and I said yes I am scheduled to go home monday. She said we will leave it at that.

Monday is the day-6 weeks total in hospital bedrest. I will also have my cervix checked and then I will be sent home. WOOOO HOOOO.

I dont think I will be able to post for a while after I leave Monday because we had our internet cut off at home because I cant afford the bill until I can get back to work . So hospital internet has thankfully kept me sane. I will update ASAP. Good luck ladies on the rest of your pregnancy journey!!!!

Aw yay! :) Im so happy that you get to go home Monday, thats great hun!
I have a question though.. When I was 28 weeks they told me my baby weighed 2.2lbs and they said that was fine.. I was a little paranoid cause I thought it seemed small but they said no. It WAS the 30th percentile for weight which is a little below average I think but they were ok with it.. And you say the doctors told you, you were a week behind when she was at 2.1lbs at 28 weeks? How tall are you hun and how much do you weigh if you dont mind me asking? I know everything should be fine cause the doc said it was ok but Im just curious to know if they meant hes a good weight for someone my size or what? Sorry hun 20 questions lol Im just curious :P Anywho, YAYYY you get to come home! Hope youre have a good weekend ciao xoxo <3

I'm glad you will be going home and getting a lil of your sanity back, although I will miss chatting with you and reading your blogs. Also, my baby weighed 2 pounds at 25 weeks and I will get another weight check again on Monday at 27 weeks.
