17-9-2009 - Brooke\'s Update

My mood while writing this blog: Tired but happy

hey ladies,

It's been awhile since I've been on here and written anything. Well, here is the latest about Brooke. She is doing well. She now weighs 4lbs 3.1ozs and has begun to bottle feed. She started having heart rate drops but hopefully her aminophillen (meds) is finally at a high enough level to keep that from happening. Heart rate drops are scary, especially when the alarm starts sounding, but it is just something that she needs to grow out of. Once she stops with the drops they will be moving her into an open crib instead of her isolette and will try taking out her canula (the tubes in her nose). As far as her bottle feeding goes, right now they only do it 2-3 times a day so as not to tire her out but she has been doing very well. She definitely knows what to do with it, lol! So it'll be at least a few more weeks until she can come home but I am just happy that she is doing well. At least now I get to bring in clothes and they dress her up in her little outfits, I love it! I have posted pictures in my photo album but they're not the most recent. I need to go hunt down my camera and download the newest ones but sorry to say I am so tired and do not feel like playing "find the camera" right now, lol, sorry ladies! I just wanted to say thank you all so much for all of your support and well wishes. I'm looking forward to seeing the babies that are expected to arrive soon! Take care momma's!
