26-2-2009 - 1st OB/GYN visit disappointed, frustratedMy mood while writing this blog:
disappointed, frustrated

Okay, so I had my first ob/gyn appointment today and I love my new doctor. She is sooo nice. Unfortunately, I did not get my ultrasound today because the nurse who scheduled my appointment failed to let the doctor know that I needed one (darn incompetent people)! Well, I let my doctor know and she said it was too late for today cause their u/s techs had already left. The good news is that I got an appointment for tomorrow morning at 10:30! I am soooo excited but super nervous at the same time. I hope the baby's okay. Well, other than that I'm doing okay. The visit went well and I did all the typical first ob appointment stuff, weight, blood, urine, asking a ton of questions, and of course, the dreaded pap smear (ouch)! Of course I knew this pregnancy would be high risk and Dr. Taylor confirmed this. Because of this, I will be having my monthly ob appointments with her, but I will also have appointments at the high risk clinic. Dr. Taylor will be ordering ultrasounds for tomorrow, 11 weeks, and 18-20 weeks. I don't know if the high risk clinic will be doing their own ultrasounds and I'm sure that if any problems arise, my doctor will order further ultrasounds. Okay, I'm officially starting to get excited about being pregnant. Hopefully tomorrow will bring more good news for me! Keep me in your thoughts please ladies and I will be updating everyone tomorrow with the stats of my ultrasound! Night!
