01-11-2008 - 7 Months of Coopery Goodness

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

I have been a mom for 7 months now (16 if you count preggoness-though it's not quite the same). I STILL can't believe it! I'm more in love everyday, and all those other cliche things people annoyingly proclaim about their precious little poopsy's.

Cooper just popped out his 3rd tooth. He can roll around all over the place. He freakin STILL won't sit up on his own or even thinking about standing with assistance. If his feet touch the ground, he immediately goes into "Yay, I must be in my jumparoo" mode and starts jumping.

I still feed Cooper breastmilk via pumping (flat nipples, giant boobs, latch issues). I didn't think I would keep pumping this long. I feel sorta proud that I have, but I am so ready to quit. I am back at work, which makes pumping difficult. And now the last couple of days, I'm having issues with my "letdown" reflex. My stinkin milk won't come out!! It takes forever. Trust me, I know all the tricks and what to avoid in order to make my letdown happen. The trick I have found (TMI ALERT!!): Orgasm. If I achieve orgasm, it relaxes me to the point of letdown. LMAO. So needless to say, I'm getting more "me" time than necessary, and this is just getting ridiculous.

Anyway, back to Cooper himself. He talks A LOT. All the time. Lots of Dada. And he now knows what "Up" means and will hold out his arms for me to pick him up. I love that. He's finally reaching for me when someone else is holding him.

He is learning to eat little Puffs cereal things. He really likes them, but it's a bit like watching a stroke patient eat!! He needs him some occupational therapy. He loves peas, oatmeal, carrots, and sweetpotatoes. He is not so much into fruit. He'll eat it, but he makes a bitter face the whole time.

I'm excited to see what comes next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
