17-2-2010 - Baby\'s Sick

My mood while writing this blog: Not Happy

Poor Baby Nate at 6.5 months has bronchitis(First time he's gotten sick especially like this) :(. He started coughing last saturday more frequently. Took him to Emergency room sunday (Valentine's) bc he was basically choking from his coughing. He had a fever when the nurses' took his temperature so they kept him to do test his mucous to see if it was the flu or any other serious condition and also for a chest X-ray. Well everything came out positive so they just suggested tylenol for the fever and a humidifier for the cough. His cough got worse as the weather out here fluctuated from warm to cold again and as per the hosp request took him to his Dr after 48 hrs. At the Doc he said his bronchioles felt inflamed and prescribed him albuterol syrup... He's only taken it twice and he already slept better last night so that's good. That cough just sounds awful it really does. He's such a good baby that he still plays and smiles even sick but when a cough comes on he coughs almost chokes gives u the little lip and cries out... POOR BABY wish it was me not him. I think he got it from my grandparents cause they were sick and they take care of him and the weather changes. LIVING DOWN SOUTH is crazy sometimes its 70 one day and 40 the next and than 70 the next again. We don't even have a heater in our place. Thank God my mom brought us one for tonight it's going to be in the 40's again. they were sold out EVERY WHERE cause it's never this cold here NEVER. Anyway looking forward to him feeling better more for him than me. God knows I haven't slept in days but as long as he gets better thats all I care about. Well ladies hope ur all well/

Awww poor Nate :( I hate when the babies are sick. I hope he feels better soon. My little Ari got sick and struggles with a cough... starting to think she might have a milk allergy.

I hope he feels better..my daughter just got over bronchitis..it sucks especially when their smaller like him, because they can't take alot of medicine. Hope his medicine starts working and he gets better. Good Luck :)
