10-11-2008 - Prenatal Visit- 29 Weeks

Well I had my 29 prenatal visit Today, and Lamar went with me. It was his first time...YES I know that is rather sad being that I am now 29 weeks, but I will admit that has been my own doing because, I haven't been able to forgive him how, he treated me when I had the miscarriage, and how he first stayed away when I told him, I was pregnant the first time ALTHOUGH he wanted me to get pregnant right after the miscarriage. So my hurt wouldn't allow him to be there for me, but then I had to step back, and realize, he wanted to be there for me during my pregnancy and this was more about our daughter than it was about US, so I have allowed him to be involved with EVERYTHING that has went on after a long hard talk with myself. Well, this was his first time hearing her heartbeat and it was nice and strong 148 beats per minute. Also, I received the results from my glucose testing and it was NEGATIVE...YAY! I must admit that I was rather worried because diabetes runs in my family. However, my blood pressure was HIGH due to all the stress of my family, my living arrangements, the craziness between, Lamar and myself and just every day things. I hope that was a one time thing because,I really don't want to have high blood pressure while being pregnant because, I know that will affect my Muffin Girl, and I really don't want that @ all. ANYWAY-it was nice being with, Lamar while being @ my prenatal, and his face when, he heard her heartbeat was nice to see. I looked @ him and stuck my tongue out @ him, and I asked him are you happy, you got to hear her heartbeat, his response was ohhh be quiet and a big smile came across his face, and that was nice to share with him. I am not keen on the weight gain, but the nurse told me that, I shouldn't have a problem with labor because, I have big hips. NOW I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN UPSET if she too didn't have big hips and told me she was in labor with her baby for three hours due to her big hips. So here's a BIG TOAST TO BIG OLE HIPS..LOL. Now since I'm in my third trimester, I will from now on see my OB/GYN every two weeks. I'm getting closer, and I am getting scared!!
