Baby Shower Details...

Well my baby shower was this past Saturday December 6, 2008. Although it lasted a few hours it took a lot leading up to that day. Reasons being because everyone seems to be short on money, and Lamar and I had a huge blow out over where it should have taken place. However all went well! The little budget that my sister had caused for us to get creative which was stressful and fun @ the same time.

My colors were Pink and Brown! Well, we used two different pinks. A light pink and a dark pink because they all balanced well off of each other. Everything was pink and brown from the decorations, to the icing on the cake. We had baby pins that said Beauti's & Lamar's baby shower December 6, 2008 which were also pink and brown. I had a huge coursage that had a baby planted in the middle of mine, and Lamar walked around with a huge pacifier decorated in pink and brown ribbon. It was so cute. Since, we didn't have the money to rent the chair that is usually @ baby showers my sister got creative and grabbed two of the head dining room table chairs, and decorated those. Everyone loved it!! Mines had roses on it, and Lamar's had a cigar. The balloons said Beauti's and Lamar's baby shower which were pearlized pink and brown. They too were beautiful. The food that was cooked was fried chicken, meatloaf, rice and beans, macaroni & cheese, candied yams, tuna mac salad, potato salad. There were also chocolate cupcakes with pink baby bears sticking out on top of them. My cake was BEAUTIFUL!!! My sister, Rashida really out did herself. It was HUGE three layer cake with vanilla filling. Everyone that saw the cake say awwwww that's so nice.

Lamar and I received many nice gifts from everyone that was there. We also videotaped everyone who wanted to give a personal message to the baby, so she could watch when she got older. It was really nice ALTHOUGH I DISLIKE BEING ON DISPLAY...ICK I was happy about everyone that came, and showed Lamar and myself love and also our Muffin. The ONLY thing that upset me was because I didn't get as many pictures as, I had planned and I didn't get ANY pictures of my Mother and myself together. I really have no complaints about my baby shower NOW that it is over...NOW where to put all this stuff...LOL.

PRENTAL CHECK UP!

I went to the doctor yesterday, and had to take blood test since I'm close to my 8th month. Everyone tells me I am carrying big and some noticed Saturday that I had dropped some...which scares me a little because, she still has some time in the oven before, she pops out. November 25th Lamar and I went to get an ultrasound done, and she weighed 4 pounds, and my EDD was moved up from Jan 27 to Jan 21, but I am still sticking to the 27th being my due date. For some reason that relaxes me more. Anyone I tell she already weighs 4 pounds always says WOW THAT'S A BIG BABY. I have LOST 8 pounds. Although I do eat when I eat NOW, I can't get a lot in because I feel so full and uncomfy. I believe she's running out of space in there because there are times when I feel her in 3 different places @ once. Funny thing is people always ask me if I am having twins...Um NO!! YES I've checked because twins run in Lamar's family. For the longest time UNLESS you knew me you couldn't even tell that I was pregnant now I just popped out of NO WHERE..LOL However all seems to be well so far I'll just feel better if she stayed in a little longer.
