| 21-12-2008 - Question For The Ladies That Have Breastfed Before. |
My mood while writing this blog: Curious! |
Hello Ladies
I have a question that has been on my mind lately. I know that this question might come across strange and I don't mean to be graphic. However, I admit that I have very sensitive nipples, and due to being pregnant they are even more sensitive and sometimes the sensation drives me NUTS. I plan on breastfeeding, Muffin BUT I have been thinking lately that breastfeeding her will lead to sexual sensation and that disturbs me a great deal. So, I was wondering if there is REALLY a difference? I Hope so because this has been freaking me out!!!! Thanks in advance to those that answer my question!!

Tuesday, 6 Jan No that question is not disturbing at all. But yes I am the same but when you are breastfeeding your child it is different. At first it might feel at little different and weird but you will get use to it quick. Don't worry you will be fine momma. tasha1977 -
Tuesday, 23 Dec My friend had the same concerns. It's different when you breastfeed your child. I have never thought about it being intimate when feeding Trinity. You won't even think about it when you're breastfeeding. Like they say it's a time and a place for everything. voncoco -
Monday, 22 Dec Totally different, once it is your child that you are nurturing and bonding with you realise there is a whole new world of physical closeness you can have with a human being. Your sensitivity will lessen as they get accustomed to more "use" then usual, but even at that the sensation is attached to such different feelings. mommyofsoon2b4 -
Monday, 22 Dec My nipples are sensitive as well and I've breastfeed my three sons and will definitely breastfeed this little guy. It is completely different. In the beginning you'll get slight cramping, because it causes you uterus to contract. Which is a good thing because it helps get your uterus back to it pre-pregnancy size. After a few days, your nipples will be really sore, even hurts when baby latches on at first. But, it will get better, I promise. During the times when your nipples are sore us Lansinoh Lanolin ointment/cream, it really does help. DKB -
Monday, 22 Dec It is completely different... you can put your mind at ease because what you will feel is a bond growing between you and your little one.. a knowing that you giving her the sustenance of life. My baby girl was stubborn and only fed from the breast when she felt like it.. but there were times where she latched really well, so I feel comfortable with telling you not to worry... aarons-mom -

Sunday, 21 Dec definitely different for me because it's a different motion that occurs between sensual touch and sucking for feeding. and i agree that you'll see her face and it will just be a different experience. but it is not unheard of for some women to get the same sensual sensation. i remember an article like that once and it's kinda weird for that to happen, right? not sure how i would deal with it, but see how it goes. one step at a time. Sunday, 21 Dec Hi! I breastfed for a year and there is a difference. Instead of looking down and seeing a man you will see your infant daughter looking up at you and trust me the only thing you will feel is love and a nurturing instinct. When a man does it he is purposely being sensual and sexual but a baby.......a baby is pulling on your breast literally to draw milk out. Those are two definite different sensations. misstiana -
Sunday, 21 Dec girl yes its way different i have heard many women wonder bout that but, trust me u'll be fine its nothin like a sexual feeling..it didnt hurt me at all an my nipples are very sensitive but my baby had a good latch.the only thing that hurt really was my uterus contracting back down to normal size. when u breastfeed it speeds up that process an u feel it while ur nursing.mine were intinse hopfully urs wont be as bad good luck wit it an letme kno how it goes ...=) 6ontheway -
